Oh sorry guys, I forgot Katy was local. Still, Teenage Dream is charting in the US thanks to her new era.
Talking about US sales, just as an example:
- Alejandro's last week in the Hot 100 was the
37th from 2010, still, 19 weeks later, one week before Born This Way (single) release,
the album was still in the Top 50 (and it was longest chart sitter, example of longetivity), even though the re-release was 1 year old and it already sold over 4 million copies.
- Wide Awake's last week in the Hot 100 was the 48th from 2012, still, 6 weeks BEFORE that, Teenage Dream was already
out of the Top 50, even though the re-release was only 4 months old and the album only sold 2.6 copies.
and I won't even bring Adele's US numbers cause I think we all know about her longevity.
