Was reading an idea that this is Gen. 7 but just like Johto, this new region is connected to Kalos.
So there'll be a new main game, with new Pokémon and everything but then after beating the "main game" you're then needed to travel to Kalos as part of the plot and there you will find Zygarde (and its new forms) and Volcanion, etc.

^i personally would really like this because I'm dying for a new generation with over 100 new monsters, as well as new starters. But this would be a great way of tying the Kalos region into all of it.

This is weird though because overall Water > Grass > Fire, the grass starter is my 2nd favorite in all regions besides turdwig and that weird acorn guy

New feature "Amiibo party slot" tap your Amiibo on your 3ds to add a 7th slot to your party and use it in battle. Level it up and catch them all! So on.

I just go by appearance for starters, and it always happens to be the reptilian/amphibious starters that I like the most.

Gen 1: I love all 3, but Charizard a lil more
Gen 2: I love all 3, Chik the least
Gen 3:I love all 3
Gen 4: I HATE Chimchar (i don't like monkeys)
Gen 5: I HATE Tepig
Gen 6: Froakie is the only 1 I like because the other 2 were ruined by evolutions.
