I might be reaching WAY too far, but I feel like if the truck is coming to NYC, it might have something to do with the supposed VMAs performance. Maybe like a "Road to the VMAs" sort of thing. The truck is driving all across the country on its way to the awards and once it gets to the Barclays Center, where the VMAs are being held, Katy could open or close the show and pop out of the semi-truck doors and premiere the new single (If it hasn't been released by then).
This is such an amazing idea. Please let it be this.
It does sound brilliant though, and it's the only thing I can think of her doing with the semi. I'd be disappointed if it's just driving around aimlessly.

I do the same. I've been going to bed sooo late ever since she announced the album, constantly refreshing my phone and checking Twitter. Only for Katy
