Have you looked at my signature? Avril Lavigne and Kylie Minogue, neither of them has sold well for around 3 years now. Please. Throw Nicole Scherzinger on the list and you have the Holy Trinity of Flopping Women. All 3 of them are also not popular in the USA. I'm basically one of the most faithful stans out there.
The difference tho is that Avril and Kylie are active musically, they're always doing something to promote their music. Nicole Scherzinger does random stuff in the studio and most of the time she doesn't promote her music. At all. Like Nicole should release random singles every other month just to keep her music active and promoted, this "taking a break from my music for 1 year" crap does not work. She needs to release something.

Yeah I agree. She waits too long. We live in a day and age that not even every single has to lead to an album. So an stand-alone single atleast every 4 to 5 months should be something she should have been doing the last 5 years. It keeps her name out there and if she would release that kind of releases worldwide, she also would build a small basis to actually release her music globally.
That is also one of the biggest mistake she made. Not releasing her music globally at the same time, but all these scattered releases, without promotion or announcements.
That is also why she has to start from scratch every time she starts a new era.
Nicole doesn't contribute to soundtracks, only does a few under the radar collabo's on other people's work. The fact that the most exciting thing musically this year is the leaks of Freak, Wild Dream and two random features with The Dan Band and Andrea.

JoJo did the same by putting out random singles and EPs. Her case was worse because she was in a lawsuit battle with Blackround records. Look now, she's released three fire singles and they BURN...

So then why are you getting upset and asking for the thread to be closed because I pointed out that Nicole is not successful and doesn't have a market? Some artists just aren't successful. You sound like a drama queen.
By the way, there is no comparison between Nicole and the other two. Avril and Kylie have both had success in the past and their recent flops do not compare to Nicole's. Avril's last album actually got a North American release and went Top 5 while Kylie's went Top 10 in multiple countries. Nicole's albums don't even releases in her own country and flop in the UK too. Nicole's status is definitely a lot lower than theirs. And artists are always in the studio recording and most of it doesn't get released so it's not really "random stuff" and Nicole definitely did promote in the UK. The only thing she doesn't do is release and promote in North America.

Excuse me, when I said I asked for the thread to be closed, it was a hyperbole. Also it's natural for pop music fans to discuss the success of their favourite artists, otherwise they'd be out of a record label (which is true for Nicole's case in the UK, she has no record label there now, well let's hope she get's signed to a new one). My complaint is that I think Nicole not releasing anything in the UK this year is a horrible idea. Sure, Nicole promoted in the UK, last year. That was last year, we're in 2015 darling and people sure aren't waiting for Nicole to finish taking breaks. Sure, Nicole flopped, but that's not the point, the most important factor is that Nicole needs to be consistent with her releases. Consistency is key. Kylie Minogue flopped with her latest album but she's always consistent. With Nicole? She takes long ass breaks.

I am stanning for her since 2005. So 10 years. Nicole will keep releasing music every blue monday, but overall her music career is done in a way that her usual habits are withhelding her to build a proper fanbase and/or musical career globally and I don't think that if she has not learned from her mistakes the last 10 (and more) years, she will start doing it now out of sudden.

They should reunite and make be relevant again.....
As someone said, Interscope was not really interested to make Nicole happen...

RCA/Sony wasn't either, otherwise they would have let her record more material to craft a more commercial appealed album than Big Fat Lie and also would have "forced" her to release globally.
I am not even sure if Nicole herself wants herself to happen at this point, because she keeps making dumb descisions and if two major recorddeals and like two management teams can't push you and make you relevant, who could?

Yes, I'm aware you weren't being serious, but I'm still not sure where the response even came from. My points were simply that Nicole is not successful and her taking breaks is not the problem.
Nicole is not releasing anything in the UK right now because she has nothing to release. BFL flopped so that album is over and she needs to record new material. If you mean she's not working quickly enough and is indecisive about what to release, sure. But then again, we're not even positive that she even has a label there so she might not even be able to release anything properly. Besides, her manager said a single isn't coming this year.
As for Kylie, again, her last album charted Top 10 in many countries so her status is clearly higher than Nicole's. There's no comparison. Besides, there was a 4 year gap between Kylie's last two studio albums. Taking breaks is normal and isn't really the issue here. Nicole just isn't connecting to audiences and hasn't built a fan base.

If she won't release anything this year. She should release powerfull ballad in early winter i mean december/january. Pretty will be great tbh. She needs something like Halo by Beyonce, Stay by Rihanna, Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis. She needs ballad but not like the 'Run'.

Okay stop pointing out the obvious, captain obvious. Obviously Kylie Minogue is on a higher status than Nicole Scherzinger. Kylie's sales are obviously higher than Nicole. Kylie's gap between her last 2 studio albums is irrelevant because Kylie released compilation albums and she has been touring non-stop since like forever. Kylie is always on tour while recording new material. Kylie is actively promoting her music. That's how you build a fanbase, by actively promoting your music. Nicole is not actively promoting her music, who cares if it flops, keep promoting it anyway, keep promoting whatever crap you recorded in the studio and eventually you'll gather fans. Nicole's always recording in the damn studio where most of it end up as unreleased demos and scrapping albums. I really don't understand out of the hundreds of songs Nicole has recorded she was only able to put out 2 studio albums. Like even independent artists do better than that. Taking breaks are normal, but the problem is that when other artists take breaks they're still actively promoting their music one way or another. How can Nicole possibly even build a fanbase when she goes missing for like months? Another thing, as I mentioned Kylie released compilation albums. Nicole could have had a compilation album by now if she just released her damn albums instead of scrapping them. Releasing lots of material over time allows the artist to build up their own repertoire, catalogue of songs and just pull them out whenever they need to promote their music, especially for tours or even just performing in music festivals, or for commercial purposes, etc.

An artist without a fan base cannot tour. A tour is built on fans actually buying tickets to a show that she or he carries.
And no, releasing "whatever crap" isn't going to build a fan base either, but I agree with your idea. Most of her music isn't crap at all she could have been releasing material regardless of commercial performance. If Killer Love (and even Her Name is Nicole) was available on iTunes, Spotify and Pandora, her career might be totally different. She would have built a small fan base by now and her Internet claim to fame wouldn't be that she hasn't released an album in her own country.

Nicole can always go on a tour, they can be small tours in like clubs or bars, or even perform in music festivals. Let's be honest, Nicole needs to do the grass-roots level (i.e. appeal yourself directly to the public) of promotions since her record label is not willing to promote her on a top-tier level as a global artist. Which is ridiculously sad since Nicole is made for global-promo , like she's so marketable in like every continent (well except the USA, which is ironic since it's her home).
