Former Wonder Girls member Mimi (Sunmi) to make solo debut

K-pop girl group Wonder Girls’ former member Mimi will make a solo debut, her agency said on Monday.
An official with JYP Entertainment told TenAsia over the phone that Mimi is revving up for her solo debut as a ‘female solo dance performer’ but no details nor dates have not been decided as of yet.
The official also downplayed a report from earlier in the day that stated that she will give her debut performance on cable channel Mnet’s “M! CountDown” on August 22, saying that they are “still in discussions” on the matter.
Korean artist Park Jin-young, founder of JYP Entertainment, will be Mimi’s producer and be in charge of most of the details to her upcoming solo debut including her wardrobe, music video, and choreography.
This will be the first female solo artist for Park to produce in thirteen years since Korean female artist Park Ji-yoon for her sexy tune “Coming of Age Ceremony” (translated title).
Mimi, whose Korean name is Lee Sunmi, debuted in 2007 as a member of Wonder Girls alongside Yenny, Sohee, Sun, Lim and Yubin but quit the group in 2010 to attend school and go back to living a normal life.

YG Entertainment’s artists 2NE1 and KANG SEUNG YOON will making an appearance on KBS’s Music Bank on August 9.
It is 2NE1’s first appearance on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank in 3 years, and they will showcase their new song ‘DO YOU LOVE ME’ for the first time on national television.
2NE1’s last appearance on Music Bank was in October 2010, where they performed their three big hits ‘CLAP YOUR HANDS’, ‘CAN’T NOBODY’ and ‘GO AWAY’ in a row. They were wrapping up their album activities. And now they are back after three long years before the audience to showcase their new song on the same show.
Well, they're the only non-SNSD/TTS girl group to sell over 50k on Hanteo consistently. I believe the last artist that wasn't them to do it was 2NE1 in 2010.
Ordered my copy of Pink Tape today Was a toss-up between that and the EXO repackage but I figured I already have the original version of the album so there's no point wasting money for the sake of 3 more songs just yet

The boys have been hinting at a repackage since June, when the former DMTN member David Kim hinted that he - and Duble Sidekick - were working on MBLAQ's repackage.
Their repackage title is called "Love Beat". So far, there's no word on how they'll be promoting all this while they have their 2013 tour.
