And tbh, the last era had TONS of US promo when the album was about to drop, she even had a target deal which aired during The GRAMMY's.
People just weren't that into it and that happens.
She played hide 'n seek when CRTFY dropped tho, but i assume they expected the video to be so big(which it was) that extra promo wouldn't be necessary, and i bet if it was a different song that would be the case, but oh well.
