Because her team made a mistake leaving Brazil to the last leg. Had they booked Brazil last year, say, after the Mexican dates (going through SA ending in Brazil) the damage would've been less. Earlier would've been even better.
It was well known as of last year that Brazil was going to enter a crisis, so by choosing to hold off coming here until now they ended up taking a huge blow as dolar is through the roof.
The São Paulo date grossed over 9 million Reais. That's a HUGE amount of money. If you say to an average Brazilian that a music concert by a foreign pop star where people paid up to 700 Reais (almost a month's salary) grossed 9kk when the country is going down the drain, they'd call every fan that dared going stupid, dumb, irresponsible and so on.
**** is real here right now. Pearl Jam, Muse, Ariana Grande are getting a little "help" from Time for Fun in order to sell more tickets.
So, I hope next tour Brazil as well SA in general gets a better spot if dolar allows it.
