Taylor Swift brought us another sentimental ballad for her single Back To December. For me, this will be the White Horse for the Speak Now era. Taylor sings about apologizing to a young man whose heart she broke. The public obviously sees this as a song dedicated to Taylor’s ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner. The music video does suites the emotion of the song. Set up in a winter season, Taylor is brooding and singing about her lost love while wandering morosely around her apartment. Snow falling inside the house adds more drama to the song. Back To December is one of the standout track from Speak Now, though I prefer her previous album singles, this song is still good and it deserves to be a hit. Good enough to make it to my top 50 for 2011.

Many of you will probably comment that this song is bad, worse or annoying but I don’t care. You will not deny LMFAO is a huge name for 2011 and this guilty pleasure is one of the reasons why they are everywhere last year. The song is catchy and sexy at the same time. The music video definitely is being criticized due to its sexual choreography. I can easily compare this to the classic I’m Too Sexy by Right Said Fred. But enough about the comparison, Sexy And I Know It became my favorite since I always hear this in the radios playing and that is enough reason for them be in the list. It also managed to reach the top spot on Billboard Hot 100 dethroning the 8-week run of We Found Love by Rihanna. So better you like it or not, you’re seeing LMFAO doing the “wiggle wiggle” part on this update.

Last 2010, Ke$ha is everywhere with her debut album. Last year, she is a bit off the music scene since the second part of the year. But even so, she managed to blow our minds with the second single for Cannibal with Blow. This song instantly became a favorite of mine and I’m glad it was released as a single. As for the music video, we see Ke$ha hooking up with the unicorns and being a nemesis with James Van Der Beek. Nothing special about the video but it is worth entertaining. Too bad this is not as a smash as Tik Tok and We R Who We R since this song is insane. Hopefully, Ke$ha will provide us with more aggressive type of dance track which will make her put back on top.
