Yes, I adore Breathe Me, it's one of my favorite songs. I love her old stuff. Tbh her music before she went mainstream was phenomenal. And it's not even that "she went mainstream," but rather that the quality of her music became a shitshow and now all her songs have stupid lyrics with grotesque, screaming vocals. And I was really hoping 1000FOF would be her one little mistake, but then she announced an album of inferior leftovers. Not only that, she even marketed the album as a collection of inferior leftovers

Stupid lyrics? The
quality of her music has become a shitshow?
I mean, I get your point, but is it really necessary to completely deny Sia's artistry just because you can't get into her new stuff? Yes, (y)our beloved "Breathe Me"-Sia is long gone, and apart from her quite divisive, raw vocals, her most recent releases share basically nothing in common with her early work. However, I think Sia still is an exceptional songwriter, and she's far from just being a dull, replaceable pop act. Her new music remained pretty atmospheric and dark, albeit her records certainly have become much more "accessible"/mainstream over the years. In my opinion, Sia has found the right balance, though; on the one hand, she refrains from overwhelming the general public with her craft (thus ensuring a steady source of income), on the other hand, I feel like she never has compromised her artistic integrity (even her collaborations with David Guetta felt sincere). In this particular case, she kinda reminds me of Adele; sonically, both seem to be travelling down a similar
safe, but beautiful road, although Adele's never-ending highway already is paved with tons of gold and ****.
It's a shame that you can't warm up to Sia's new sound, I guess, but... oh well. Some people have real problems.

"One Million Bullets" really is a grower. After my first listen I felt rather underwhelmed, but now I absolutely LOVE it. Sia's voice sounds exceptionally exquisite in the pre-choruses.
