Girlfriend was catchy, it easily nailed the top spot. Alice, on the other hand, is the most annoying song in the history of ever  . And soundtracks don't do much these days anyway, even if they're supported by a big movie. Avril's coming single is definitely debuting inside the top 5.

Not trying to go much off-topic, so this will be my last post concerning this matter, but 'Alice', regardless of being "the most annoying song ever" according to you, bombed TOO hard, especially when Avril shot a video and performed the song several times. She's Avril Lavigne, for Christ's sake, and what happened to 'Alice' may just mean she's in *another* league, at least as of now.

As for the Digital Market slowing down a bit, I partially agree - It's certainly not growing as fast as it was in 2008, for example. But it's still big, I'm with those saying the truth is we just haven't had any real big Digital artists releasing anything lately.

Alice peaked inside top 20 in itunes... Radio did not play her single.... Alice did good comparing it to Leona's "I See You" from the biggest movie of all time "Avatar"

She also bombed with 'Keep holding on' and that was on the soundtrack to eragon, Avril could have another hit if she goes about this the right way. She's always been hit and miss.
Back on topic, Christina fans have got to stop being so sensitive. We all hyped this comeback up and we all look like fools for doing so now, things couldn't have gotten off to a worse start. If people want to criticize/hate then that is their choice, atleast people still care about her. If this record flops then she'll be a nobody when she releases her next album in four years time, I appreciate any kind of interest in her.
