First of all this is stale old news xD
Second of all she's just saying in her complicated way of putting out words that the SOUND (as in: sound structure and sound quality in music) is always relegated and treated in a reductive and offensive way - as in: the N-word, which conveys a lot of negative connotations directed towards a group of people who doesn't deserve this appellation and who are not represented by it.
Another way to put this: sound is CONSIDERED inferior without deserving it as when someone says N..... want to put black people in a inferior way.
Complicated way of putting it but there's nothing about it...people calling her washed up and has been tho
it's not like she said this on public tv or a lyrics, this is a consideration on a journal interview,
