I buy my music on iTunes. I stream music in my car on Pandora if I'm not listening to the music I bought on iTunes. If they had a discount, I'd subscribe though.

Lol and yeah, speaking of Spotify possibly losing the free-option period down the line that's definitely likely. Spotify has actually yet to gain profit, the amount of money they spend to get the music and such is so much they've yet to get in the zone where they're making much more money than they're giving. The free-option is keeping them from income, is getting them side-eyes from the entire industry, and might make them even lose popularity if artists strike and take music down so I don't see how they're gonna keep boasting that option for so long.

What I'd wish for is for people to actually buy music again but I guess that's not happening so If the world will go to streaming rather then buying I'd rather have it be through TIDAL rather than Spotify

Why do ya'll want Spotify to be the ONLY major streaming service for the next 100 years?

For example, Spotify's latest update took away the "search" feature in playlists. You have to scroll through a playlist to find a song you wanna play. Imagine if you over 200 songs in that playlist? Yet they're very nonchalant about fixing such a SMALL issue cause they have no competition.

This will light a fire under everyone's ass.

Although I'm not sure why we need to pay to watch videos we can watch on YouTube already. Are they going to pull a Japan and remove them from YouTube? Are they higher quality than YouTube? YouTube maxes out at 10 Mbps I believe, and full 1080p on Bluray gets up to like 50.

If Spotify removes the free option, it's not like people are going to SUDDENLY start paying for their music. No one is going to pay for music anymore unless they want to, and that's just the way it is going to be from now on.

If music marketers would just lower the price of albums or at least differentiate the prices between a physical and digital album, we wouldn't be in a streaming-related mess in the first place but no, they choose to remain petty.
