I'm thinking the T swift domination actually makes it EASIER for Gaga to get the #1 debut. Her songs are holding back PITUSA, Whatcha Say, and Down. Swifts songs won't sell enough to get number one because of no radio play, while Gaga is steady at #2 with decent airplay.
The only other competitor for #1 is then Fireflies, and I just don't see that happening.
It's the same situation as when "Fireflies" was #1. Like you said, Taylor won't sell enough to debut #1. And GaGa is currently behind her. Meaning whatever Taylor's selling ATM, Gaga is right behind.

As a true fan of Taylor I'm amazed and proud of her
Im not throwing shade at Gaga if she deserves that BB #1 she might get it.
But Fireflies deserved it too
