As far as I've seen latest years, all Halftime performers had at least some help of pre-record. Still, I guess, she added some live vocals and sounded well, and the show was on point. Great for her + I can't wait to read all those fumes about her achievement
Mess at people vehemently denying this. I have some of the most integrity of anyone on here and I wouldn't say something that I don't personally believe is true. I've acknowledged that she lipped certain parts of her performance from the minute she finished her show
BUT a lot of it WAS honest-to-god live. How many more receipts do I need to pull out?

No, c0caine, I just think Katy deserves some credit b/c she pulled off a great performance with a good amount of live vocals. This show is receiving scrutiny from everyone on here and it's a highly televised show to 118 million people? Creepy...how?
This is where the misconception stems from... Katy hasn't had a legit televised performance in a year. She's improved like crazy during PWT. She sounds at the super bowl exactly how she sounds on tour.
Look FFS I am a known Katy "hater" (even though I don't) but for God sake just shut up with the stan wars and accept, lip-synching or not (what producer would be stupid enough to risk mic issues?!?!), Katy put on an incredible show. Yes it was tacky and gimmicky, but that's what she is and what the GP eats up. So just accept that she has a formula that works, tasteful and refined, or not.
