I mean, it's possible it could fall under the "shocking" umbrella, but if that's the case I have to wonder if videos like Please Don't Leave Me would also violate YouTube's guidelines. It's nearly as violent, even if it's not as graphic.
The video does not depict any actual stalking or threats, which is what that next rule is intended to counter--Shane's video is fictional. And it most certainly does not "incite others to commit violent acts."

You are only pretending to defend the video because you always hate on Taylor. If it was about anyone else, you wouldn't defend a vid depicting stalking someone, murdering their security and then murdering them. The vid also shows bodies being mutilated. Not sure how that doesn't transgress the youtube guidelines.
youtube is not supposed to be used for people to satisfy their snuff video fetishes.
If he made that video but instead had Obama the target instead of Taylor, you can bet the Secret Service would have knocked on his door as they would have interpreted the video as a death threat. Taylor has security guards for a reason. There are people out there who are sick psychopaths wanting to murder celebs. That is a real situation. Depicting that so graphically is only going to encourage these nutters that such behaviour is acceptable.
Shane Dawson should quit whining about celebs when he makes a living from their creativity and popularity.
