The United Kingdom snatching that first spot on my list with queen Pixie Lott's lead single "Nasty" off her self entitled album. Even though I don't really check for Pixie besides Mama Do and that one song she re-did with GD & TOP she somehow managed to tug at my wig a bit with this X-Tina left over There's something about her voice that I really enjoy on her songs especially on her new album it's like raspy but not really and it slays.
Okay to be honest I enjoy this song way more for it's video/visuals then the actual song itself nnnnn. No shade to gwen cause this song isn't really that bad, I actually enjoy her rapping in the verses it's just the production sounds like it could be more polished and in your face and that intro and the bridge need to go, they both ruin the song's flow for me, I mean those unpolished vocals <<<<<. Nonetheless I still bop to this time to time and it serves me vintage gwen via Yummy & Breaking Up
My guilty pleasure of this year tbh. Little Debbie serving me my ratchet anthem of 2014 despite me not using her or her baked goods.
This is a case of something being so bad that it's good but on the plus side at least homegirl looks #Flawless in the video
Whooo lord does this song serve me everything and more that I needed from Jenny after her back to back releases of redone red one singles. This is the perfect album opener for it completely sets the whole tone of the album and as a title track sums up the whole concept behind the album
(which btw is underrated and amazing and deserved to smash)From the flawless production to T.I. serving in his verse, Jenny served with this track
I Thought I'd never see the day when Fergie would comeback to the music scene and slay me all over again like she did with The Dutchess back in the day. Flawless Production, Flawless Video, Flawless Performances It just can't get any better. Although the song gets a biT tiring quick it still a good song and a strong comeback from the good sis
AFTERSLAY Their first of many entries on this list goes to their AMAZING album track "Ms.Independent" off their 2nd Japanese album "Dress To Kill". One of the many gems off their magnum opus, Ms.Independent is probably the closes we'll most likely get to an english Afterschool track as 2/3 of the song is sang in comprehendible English but aside from them slaying languages they also slayed my souled with this banger of a production and that explosion of a chorus.
15&Slaying their first smash hit and hopefully not their last. Can't Hide It is all types of vocal slayage especially when that chorus hits, Jimin and friend better belch for the gods and the melon rooftop. I'm so shocked at how much 15& slay me as a duo this year with their sound considering I'm really not a big fan of slow tempo songs but their voices are so captivating I can't get bored while listening to them
After delivering one of the best K-pop songs and strongest debut songs ever Queen Sunmi came back again this year with a flaw free Mini album full of masterpieces and coming in at #78 is album track "Burn". What type of electronic smash anthem waiting to happen but being paid dust wrongfully? This should of been promoted along side "Full Moon" honestly I mean not only are Sunmi's vocals on point but the build up from verses to chorus to the the beat drop slay so hard i can't even only a Wonder Girls member could serve such a anthem
Jessica her last sing as a member of Girls' Generation SNSD Always bring their best to their Japanese ballads this is probably in my trinity of their ballads with Time Machine & Romantic.St. They all sound perfect and Jessica really brought out her talent on here as if the good sis knew her time being an apart of one of the biggest girl groups was about to be up .
I'll remain pressed that BEG recorded their next Abracadabra sized smashed and wasted it on a Greatest Hit's album that they didn't even bother to promote, I mean the slayage that would've been the music video and live performances could of brought this song way higher on my list but oh well hopefully the queens deliver the same quality for their actual comeback next year? before their hips give out on them. Also is it just me or has Miyro suddenly become the highlight of all their recent releases I mean Recipe, Kill Bill and now Hush
