Weight or depth of topic ≠ quality, true, but in this case they do. Nothing on 1989 is lyrically strong other than Clean. And I've listened to 1989 multiple times and even own a few songs, but not because I think they're quality, but because they're catchy. And that is 75% or more of the subject matter

Im sorry but nothing begins to touch KPs Teenage Dream in terms of quality during this decade. It was solid and varied in terms of style. It had hits and sales and streams before streaming even counted towards the charts.
