Well if her album is out in November, she'll probably release this then, so no need for an early premiere now.   |

What? She's obviously doing an early premiere.   |

Well if the album is out e.g. on the 3rd of November, the single will be out a week before, so why would she premiere it until now if the single won't be out until late October/early November? We all know she'll get the radio support easily, her fanbase is strong so she could easily premiere it on October 1 and still get a #1 20 days later. But she probs won't do it, I can see it coming in the next 5-10 days.   |

She has 3 albums out and the first one sold one million Thanks to the hit that was the x factor everybody watched the show back then... her second album sold 300000 copies because that album was ****, and her 3erd album people didnt care about it because she was kicked out from x Factor.

Really easy to understand Cheryl with x factor and without x factor. You guys are her fans please make your homework and dont act like cheryl is huge because she isn't. People consider her untalented and she can't sing DEAL with it.
 | If Cheryl needed X Factor to be successful, Crazy Stupid Love would have flopped. She has endeared herself to the GP in a manner that is completely independent from X Factor.  |

OK, Cheryl fans, let's be honest, X Factor DID help her solo career a lot. She became the "nation's sweetheart" when she got on the show, right? Or I'm misinformed?   |

Or I'm misinformed? | Her first solo single was the 31st bestselling song of 2008 & her solo career was off to a good start, so it was pretty much confirmed that she had the star power to have hits.
However, both the X Factor & Cheryl catapulted to new heights of success & essentially became a phenomenon each in their own right, leading to the 300k first week sales of Fight For This Love & the highest X Factor ratings ever.

By the time her second studio album came around she didn't really need the X Factor, and it sold 100k copies fewer than a 2x platinum certification, which is a miracle considering it only had one hit single.

TLDR: It helped her to initially circa-2008, but any success post-2009 would've happened whether she was still on the show or not  |

Or I'm misinformed? | I think its silly to deny Cheryl's solo career success starting because of the X Factor, but I think she isn't completely dependant on it now and its not the only reason, people like her, they didn't buy Kelly or Tulisa's music even with X Factor promo, so its more than just being a judge on the show.

Plus Nicole's solo career took off in the UK because of X Factor imo, had she not guest judged the public wouldn't have endeared to her and she probably wouldn't have got a solo spot to perform.

They both owe a lot to the show imo.  |

X Factor gave Cheryl a PLATFORM and she used it. Just like it was a platform for Nicole, Tulisa etc. Winning the public over because of your personality is a great feat. People also forget Cheryl was a mega celeb before X Factor.   |

I never said she's doing well now because she's on the show, I just wanted to say that The XF helped her A LOT to build a bigger name as an artist and she used it perfectly (who can blame her) (not to mention that her marriage to Ashley made her the center of attention for a long time).

 | It was his first ever hit, and if it wasn't for Cheryl, it wouldn't have reached the top 20. If anything, it's more her song than it is Will's.
She is after all responsible for starting his UK music career    |

I really need Cheryl to build some buzz for this single before it peaks at #3 or #2, Cheryl really has buzz in her lead singles, I haven't seen her do the same with her follow up singles    |

Can you all please just stop bringing Nicole into this thread? Go create different threads about this discussion in the base section or whatever if you want to say something about their chart positions or sales or whatever you guys come up with, but keep this discussion out of this thread, it's getting annoying and trashy now. And stop with that "did X Factor help Cheryl?" discussion as well, Crazy Stupid Love was premiered before it was announced that Cheryl will be returning, so that's out of question, but if you still have something to say about that - just keep it out of this thread. Please, let's keep it cute.
And Superbitch, stop with that sarcasm.  |

However what is wrong with considering conversations around "Will X Factor help Cheryl"? its relevant since most of her promotion for this single will likely be through the show she is judging/mentoring for (as past history has shown us from her time on the show)
I also feel however this thread should remain open because I feel as if its a matter of time before the single will be given a radio play date.  |
