We should not let our age control our hobbies and interests. It makes us who we are.
ATRL feels like a school playground most of the time, that is why older members feel isolated. There is too much immaturity on here, reinforced by a lot of comments in this thread.
Well I don't think there is a such thing as "too old" Just because you're on a forum with people that like to act immature doesn't automatically make said person (OP for an example) immature. Not everyone is on here to drag, clock ect..
There are people that genuinely enjoy music and if they feel like they have to give something up because they think or people have them thinking they're "too old" that's really sad because you shouldn't have to give up something you like to discuss because of a dumb stigma
Well 4 years ago I was really active here, now I really come not so often, actually last 2 years I was here just for the Best Of and maybe some random threads sometimes. Maybe in couple of years I will be absolutly off from here.
I don't think there's such a thing as being too old to enjoy pop music and discussing it on music forums, but the dumb and ageist posts in this thread ensure that this forum will never appeal to older people. ATRL is really a place for immature and ignorant teens (with some exceptions), so I can't imagine why any 30 year old would want to join here knowing that just reading some posts in here is enough to bring down your IQ.
Let people over 30 do what they want. We NEED more adults on this site to prevent it from becoming a stanwar infested mess. I would love to hear comments from those with more life experience than I do on here.
