Somewhere between 50-60 in POP chart. It will never make it to the comprehensive one unless she releases the hot lesbo video with at least one appearance at some TV/Radio show. The song is not even being sent to radio so yeah.. I think the digital release at this time was extremely pointless.
It IS the first single, duh. It's just they are being slow with their decisions. I'm afraid that about the time they decide to shoot the video and send it to radio, everybody would be having their copy off internet blogs.
How can ya'll judge based on that small portion, then it wasn't even that amazing of a clip? i mean like i said, it sounded good, but definitely not "Bossy" standards. You have to have pretty much hate "bossy" to downgrade it to a barely 20 second clip.
Oh well, whether this, "Guilty", or any thing from her takes off, I just want the damn album!
To answer all the questions about the promotion for the single on iTunes' "New Releases" section:
I got some news on her promotion on iTunes. As you know, she has NOT been promoted on the "New Releases" section, making it very hard for her to get exposure or sales. I was able to speak to a representative who first said that they were in the process of updating the "New Releases" pages and that "Bossy" would be featured. Then I got a reply saying that they wouldn't promote the single unless it reached the Top 100 iTunes songs. Finally, he revealed after confirmation that ONLY the album will promoted upon it's release in the "September/October" period. This information is subject to change as it goes along, but as far as I'm concerned, I think the single would only be promoted when the video comes out which is tentatively set for the end of June.
To those calling the single a flop:
"Bossy" is currently Lindsay's second-best selling single on iTunes - ever. All done in a week and without any promotion no less. The single has been getting stellar customer reviews - 4 1/2 stars from 181 reviewers - and has peaked at #52 on the iTunes Pop Chart. It is currently #70 on said chart, which I think is a success in itself because there has been absolutely no promotion whatsoever. So a flop? Don't think so. It has sold great so far, and with the video coming soon, it has the makings of a hit.
To the "leaked single" "Guilty":
It's not Lindsay. It's a singer called Jade Valerie.
