Where did I make fun of Madonna's child? Just pointing out the hypocrisy of Madonna stans "exposing"* Gaga when Madonna has been clocked for literally STEALING a child.
*except not exposing, since this is how all foundations work

This is kind of a ****ed up news, you can't run away from it.

How so? Lady Gaga starts a non-profit organisation and for its first year it winds up being expensive to run in order to start becoming sufficient. Don't get caught up in the faked shock from Gaga haters here...

In addition, you have nerve when Madonna's charitable acts have been exposed several times. I mean, she ruined an entire village in Malawi because of her lies and "charity" and then had the gall to fly there for a quick PR photo op to make people think she was doing good.
When it comes to this, I don't see the problem. $1.5m for publicity, lawyers, and a website doesn't seem like that big of a deal, especially since it came from Gaga's own pocket. As with any charity run by a famous person, loads of money is going to go into these things, that's just how it works. Starting a charity isn't cheap.
This is like saying because kids in Africa don't talk to the media about Bill and Melinda Gates' foundation, their foundation is sketchy.

you do know that the trainer (tracy anderson) madonna fired, is the partner of philippe van den bossche, who is the one who stole millions from her charity. (he handled the finances) a few months later gaga HIRED this trainer after the facts were known. so that says even more about gaga than about madonna. she's hiring someone who is engaged (maybe married now?) with someone who stole millions of poor african kids. madonna was betrayed. yes, it was naivety and she had to hire more trustworthy people. she made a mistake. but it's philippe (and the school's principal) who stole money. the partner of tracy, gaga's trainer. it's all been documented.
anyway you're WAY off topic.

You're saying it was stolen and not brought up properly. If I was her child, I'd be pretty insulted.
You have no filter. I'm literally disgusted right now. Please, see a therapist.

Since the things she spent the money on were during the LAUNCH of the foundation, how is she spending its money? It's most likely her own.

I don't see what the big deal is? The foundation is still relatively new. Start ups are expensive, especially for a charity. Even the article states that most of the donations most likely came out of Gaga's pocket.
But hey, haters keep doing the most as usual. It's always amusing.

It's not just the fact that it's expensive to run.
A lot of charities are expensive to run.
18% of the money going into that charity is actually helping people.
That KONY2012 charity at least had like 40% before everyone realized all that ********, and that was run by college students
You're telling me Gaga or the people she gets to run this charity couldn't have allocated resources a bit better? Or at least tried to get more money if they knew the operating costs would end up being 1.5 Mill?

There isn't anything to justify.
Nowhere is it listed where the foundation's money is coming from but you can bet that most, if not all, is coming from Gaga herself. So she spent millions of her own coins to get the word out about her foundation.. What is wrong with that?

"To foster a more accepting society, where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated. The Foundation is dedicated to creating a safe community that helps connect young people with the skills and opportunities they need to build a kinder, braver world."
"the foundation aims to inspire youth and build better communities. BTWF works in partnership with the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation and the California Endowment. The foundation aims to create a "braver, kinder world" for youths; create safe-spaces, promote the learning of life skills, and provide opportunities to improve their local communities."
With what they're aiming to do, they can't just throw money somewhere. What would they do with it? Their foundation is literally all about getting the word out, spreading their message, etc. This is not a foundation to raise profits to donate to research for a medical disease. So yes, publicity/getting the word out there is pretty much what they have to do.
$1.5 million is nothing to Gaga, loling at people acting like she pocketed it or something

With all the meltdowns through the pages of this thread you'd think America proclaimed bottoming illegal or something

Has it just escaped people that the 1.5 million could have come from her own pocket?
If so, this 18% statistic is misleading. It's more than likely that Gaga used her own money to publicize the charity, which should be commended, not shamed like this lol.

The reach Nothing about this is outrageous or messed up, I don't understand why you guys are making a big deal about Gaga paying for a foundation's publicity, a foundation that is literally all about publicity/getting the message out.
