i like it for the most part, a lot of similar sounding songs that didnt really stick with me on first listen. Torches took me several listens to get into too so maybe this will be the same

I've been listening to this since last night and I can honestly say I love it. I feel like in time I could end up loving it more than Torches tbh. Paul Epworth's production is amazing.

And I can see Best Friend being a decent hit.

You definitely need to give it a few listens. I was so used to listening to Torches that I was unsure of it but after about the third listen, I really started to enjoy it.

Best Friend was amazing on first listen to me too though, mostly because it resembles Torches the most on the album.

Yeah... I overplayed Torches to high heavens that the expectation for the sophomore album is high.
I will listen to the album again (after I will have heavy rotation of Best Friend first

"Best Friend" is a total B-O-P

Not feeling much of the album though, the electronic elements were their thing and I think they axed it too much. Now they kind of just sound like any modern rock band.

Really like this album...Its more of a "rock" feel then I thought we were gonna get, but im TOTALLY digging it

01. Are You What You Wanna Be? [8/10] - Something about this track that just PULLS me in

02. Ask Yourself [6/10] Probably my least fav, its ok...maybe it'll grow on me...

03. Coming Of Age [8.5/10] LOVED it at first, now I still really like it, but not as much

04. Nevermind [9.5/10] The intro is just

There is something so calm and smooth about the verses, I just adore it

05. Pseudologia Fantastica [9/10] I LOVE the instrumental of this track. And I love the vocals on this track, they just totally fit together

06. The Angelic Welcome of Mr Jones (Cute interlude)

07. Best Friend [10/10] The instrumental, the background singers, the energy, its just such an addicting song. LOVE it

08. A Beginners Guide to Destroying the Moon [9/10] Another intro I love, its got this vibe that I love

09. Goats In Tress [6.5/10] Its ok...maybe needs to grow on me...

10. The Truth [10/10] That chorus is just

Is EVERYTHING!!! I dont know what it is but this song is just amazing!!!

11. Fire Escape [9/10] Simple, yet effective, its just lovely
12. Tabloud Super Junkie [7.5/10] Good track

The album has this 70's rock sound that I didnt think it would have, and is different from Torches, but I Still really like this album. Call It What You Want and I Would Do Anything For You are still me favs, but Best Friend and The Truth could overtake them...

The album underwhelmed me too. Torches was such a PERFECT album. Supermodel easily has 4 skippable tracks. And the only songs I really LOVE are Are You What You Want To Be?, Ask Yourself, and Pseudologia Fantastica

These comments express exactly how I feel about the album at the moment. Underwhelming, but not bad (probably due to the perfection that Torches is

). However, I'm only on my second listen, so my opinion will probably change the more I listen to it. I do really love the three singles (Coming of Age, Pseudologia Fantastica, and Best Friend) + Fire Escape though!
