This. The ARTPOP era isn't really about art, and that's why everyone hates the theme.

She needs to do what she is doing now but not be so oblivious. Make art, but don't announce to the world that you are an artist doing artsy things. Just make it and the acknowledgement will come.

This is why ARTPOP is a flawed concept, I mean she doesn't even know what it means cause she saying it could mean "anything" It makes no sense. Was pop music not an art form through TF-BTW? Was everything she did before ARTPOP not art even though she said it was? She made pop music her art and now she is taking it literally and kind of dissing her previous works and everyone else in the industry by this era.

Gaga talks too much. Instead of talking about art, she needs to be art. Back when Bad Romance's video premiered, no one expected anything like that. And it wasn't just shock value, the song and video were very good and unlike anything at the time. She shouldn't keep going on and on with unecessary antics. We don't care. Just shutup and be great. And I whole heartedly agree with this, but the OP is asking if she should stop. Why should she stop being who she has been since she first came out? Should she stop trying to be so literal? Yes. When Gaga had a vision in her head and she put them in her music videos, great stuff game out of it. If she does stop being an artist who loves art, what is the point of having Lady Gaga around?

The op is asking a foolish question if you ask me. She will NEVER stop her "art" because she has been doing her "art" since Just Dance. The only problem now is instead of having a good team and an actual message to send out she has a ****** team behind her (her fault) and an "okay" album (again her fault) she knew exactly what she was trying to say the past 3 albums but with ARTPOP she has no idea what she's doing, she has no idea what ARTPOP is and the worst part she tried to give it a meaning and it failed. The worst part is she truly believes the corporate world has no idea what they're doing

The problem is that she's the only one calling her stuff "art" and it should be the other way around. She had this party image at the beggining of her career and then she suddenly changed and destroyed what made her famous and fun to listen.
