I've only listened to Demi's singles, not her full albums, but from what I've heard so far, she can get shouty on her songs, which I hate. I also don't really like the songs of hers that I've heard in general, not just her singing. The only one I like is Give Your Heart A Break.
I think Ariana's voice is prettier and she strikes me as more trained than Demi.

Demi's better in belts/chest voice and can actually project emotions well.
Ariana has a nice register, obviously better in head voice but she's not emotive at all.
They're really close and anyone who denies that is biased or votes without doing the reseach.

Her emotions have always seemed forced to me. Besides Demi is the superior emoter one way or another, she's proved that she could MANY times.
Ariana also sounds like she forces her upper register.

Her low notes improved from last year and have been improving greatly. Her recent performances show it, she's more comfortable going low.
Ariana doesn't really have great low notes either. Actually Demi could go lower.
That wasn't the point and can you give your reasons why she is?
It should end with this: Demi is better in chest voice, Ariana is better in head voice, you really can't argue otherwise.
If, of course, you know what that means, because it seems like most on here lack knowledge about vocals.

You could decide who's a better vocalist by justifying it with facts. That's actually what you're supposed to do.
This isn't a "who's tone do you prefer" poll. It's not subjective if someone's a better singer than another.
