^Thanks guys! ^_^!
I feel like typing about Movies!
Last night, while hanging out in Colorado Springs, I went to go see three movies. We (me + a couple other people) could not get into 300 at all because one auditiorium was full and the other was having large technical problems. (BOOOO...) Then as the night progressed, we were never able to get into see that film, so we wound up seeing three different movies instead.
The night turned out to be a very weird sandwich: a "stupid" comedy followed by a "romantic" comedy and layered off with another "stupid" comedy...which kind of relates to a portion of my past dating life.
But after last night, I think it's a good time to make a trip down to a movie theater.
Here's what I wound up seeing:
1st movie = Wild Hogs
X o X! OW! Allen, Lawrence, Travolta, and Macey might've hurt their reputation as serious actors with this very low quality piece of film. (Travolta and Macey mainly...Lawrence is questionable...and Allen was already dead in the first place...) I was very suprised with how badly this turned out. It was terrible from a movie critic standpoint. ...Yet I liked it once I decided to take in/assume that all this was intentional and it was just a slapstick low-minded movie to just enjoy. (Which was after 20 minutes into the film) If you see this film, turn off your inner film critic, it will not react well. But I can really tell all four of the main actors had a great time making this movie.
2nd Movie = Music and Lyrics
I was kind of feeling repelled to see this one, but I wound up enjoying this film. Out of these three films, I recommend this one the most to the entire site of Popfusion. The story was enjoyable yet unique and had certain music-industry elements that most people here can relate towards our current day pop culture.
3rd Movie = Norbit
Bottom line from me: If you enjoyed White Chicks, you should enjoy this. It was a funny movie and I was very suprised Eddie Murphy did this movie around the same time as his decorated role on Dreamgirls. In some ways, I have to agree with other critics when they make the theory that this film cost Eddie's Best supporting Oscar. If anything, the movie was just some mostly predictable fun with very raw/derranged/gross humor for me.
It was a good night overall, I had fun.
But there's one thing:
Price of:

= A store bought CD or a new release DVD?! X__X!!
WHAT THE **** IS UP AND DOWN WITH MOVIE THEATER CONCESSION PRICES?! I understand and expect to pay 1-2 dollars more for something then if I went out to a grocery store, bought "it", cooked "it", and/or snuck "it" in. But the theater I was at was HORRIBLE with their prices for most of their snack bar foods! A medium or large soda (w/ free refills) at the theaters I usually go to runs around $3/4, and a box of candy is typically $1.50-2.00. The theater I was at had the same products, but almost double the price without any free refills for soda. Candy started at $3, and just a small soda was being sold for $3.50. Then, while at this food stand, if you were to get a large popcorn, a large soda, and a box of candy, you would probably be paying the equivalent of 2 movie tickets. (which for me is about $15-18 for new features)
When I finally get a good chance to see a movie again, I'm going to sneak in some grocery store food. (Mostly with their candy bars/boxes which are five to ten times less in cost and $.75 bottles of soda) ~ (This is a good reason why I like wearing carpenter pants/khakis with multiple pockets. ^__^!) Screw those snack stands!
