Uh, really, it's not. It's not worse than "Gold Digger" and "Through The Wire"(videos, not songs, though I don't like "Gold Digger" song-wise, either), for one. Another thing is that there are quite a few scenes that pay homage to Akira and, frankly, any music video that pays homage to one of the greatest films of all time cannot suck in any way, shape or form.
That being said, this whole thing is a joke. They just need to do away with the name "Video Music Awards" and just call it the "MTV Awards", because that is all this strikes me as.

Country Music did their nods today and while I'm still flippant that Miranda Lambert's most brilliant (and probably best album of the year) Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was ignored...I'm intrigued by the nods.
ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR
Kenny Chesney
Brad Paisley
Rascal Flatts
George Strait
Keith Urban
I wish I cared.
Should Win: Brad Paisley
Will Win: George Straight
FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR
Alison Krauss
Miranda Lambert
Martina McBride
Reba McEntire
Carrie Underwood
Like we don't know who wins this. Too bad Miranda, you're just not the right blonde to win it all.
Should win: Miranda Lambert (or Alison Krauss)
Will Win: Farmbot
MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR
Kenny Chesney
Brad Paisley
George Strait
Josh Turner
Keith Urban
I'd back Josh if this was 3-4 years ago when "Long Back Train" was a brilliant start by the next Cash. Ya know, before Josh was rung through the Nashville machine to become simple sweet adorable and never harms a fly ****** balladeer. I'm shocked that Tim didn't get a nod! And the fact that Dierks and Vince did not get a nod here but are taking up space in Best Album confuses and irks me.
Should win: Brad Paisley
Will Win: either George Straight or Keith Urban. Haven't decided yet.
HORIZON AWARD
Jason Aldean
Rodney Atkins
Little Big Town
Kellie Pickler
Taylor Swift
LBT or Kellie should win it. And who would think I would ever back Kellie to win anything? Rodney is ****ing annoying and I'm not huge of Jason (although a win by him wouldn't aggravate me). But oh, lets give it to the newest blonde edition to the countrybot program.
Should Win: Little Big Town
Will Win: Taylor Swift
VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR
Alison Krauss and Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas
Dixie Chicks
Emerson Drive
Little Big Town
Rascal Flatts
When the hell did country discover the Dixie Chicks released something? And would they even show in order to be booed or whatever? Like it matters. Alison et. al. should win since I wub them but the fight will be between the crappiest acts in ****ry right now: Rascal I CAN'T SING FOR **** Flatts and Emerson WE WERE DROPPED FOR A REASON, WHY GIVE THEM A ****** SINGLE TO GET TO #1 Drive.
Should Win: Alison Krauss and Union Station
Will Win: Rascal Flatts
VOCAL DUO OF THE YEAR
Big & Rich
Brooks & Dunn
Montgomery Gentry
Sugarland
The Wreckers
Sugarland, B&R and The Wreckers should be tussling for the title but we know the winner before the nods even come out. It's just like the Oscars!
Should Win: Sugarland
Will Win: Brooks & Dunn
SINGLE OF THE YEAR
“Anyway,” Martina McBride
“Before He Cheats,” Carrie Underwood
“Lost In This Moment,” Big & Rich
“Ticks," Brad Paisley
“Wrapped,” George Strait
Er...I dunno who "should" win since none of them are excellent. I guess I'll go with B&R since it's not horrid, but expect George to take it.
Should Win: Lost In This Moment
Will Win: Wrapped
ALBUM OF THE YEAR
5th Gear, Brad Paisley
It Just Comes Natural, George Strait
Long Trip Alone, Dierks Bentley
Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing, Keith Urban
These Days, Vince Gill
Look country, I know ya'll think for some reason womenfolk can't make an album but would it have killed you to leave Vince or Dierks off in order to give Miranda a damn well deserved nod?
Should Win: 5th Gear
Will Win: It Just Comes Natural
SONG OF THE YEAR
“Anyway” - Martina McBride
“Before He Cheats” - Carrie Underwood
“Give It Away” - George Straight
“Lost In This Moment” - Big & Rich
“Stupid Boy” - Keith Urban
Oi.
Should Win: Give It Away
Will Win: Give It Away
MUSICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR
Reba McEntire with Kelly Clarkson - “Because of You”
Tracy Lawrence featuring Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney - “Find Out Who Your Friends Are”
Jimmy Buffett with George Strait and Alan Jackson - “Hey Good Lookin’” (Live)
Alison Krauss and John Waite - “Missing You”
Vince Gill with Guest Vocalist Alison Krauss - "The Reason Why”
It should go to something with Alison to make up for her being robbed for Vocal Group and Female Vocal, but I suspect the CMAs will cream their jeans over the AIers.
Should Win: Missing You
Will Win: Because Of You
MUSIC VIDEO OF THE YEAR
“Anyway” - Martina McBride
“Before He Cheats” - Carrie Underwood
“Moments” - Emerson Drive
“Online” - Brad Paisley
“You Save Me” - Kenny Chesney
This may be the only cat I'll approve of a Carrie win, since Online is just another "funny" Brad video, "Moments" is crap, "You Save Me" is the most overwroght and bizarre video Kenny has ever done and Martina's lastest is boring.
Should win: Before He Cheats
Will Win: Before He Cheats

What's Great For Me This Saturday...Football and Musica!
Which is a greater thing for me to enjoy?
(a) Michigan loosing to Appalachian State 34-32. Of course, what makes it better is Appy State is I-AA's defending champ (I think) and Michigan was at home. Some team is suffering from a looooooooooong hangover.
(b) Notre Dame getting shoved around at home 33-3 by GaTech. Cuz, well, ND sucks major **** and Charlie Weis and his fat asses need to get knocked around back to the level of crap they really are at.
or...
(c) My mind forcibly rejecting Britney's latest! I played Brit's song twice this morning since I actually forgot about the song (except for the needless 90000 times she says Gimme) and around 2pm I kept having "gimme" play in my head but just that word and I seriously could not remember what that was from. Whee!
Besides, the bridge should be the actual chorus, the producer needs to shut the **** up, and without "It's Britney bitch" like she's talking to Alicia Keys when Alicia has her cell convo in YDKMN I'd think it was Kylie and that's sad cuz Kylie would kill on this track. So the melody is good, the song sucks and we're all back to square 1. Huzzah

What's Great For Me This Saturday...Football and Musica! Part 2!
ooh, a new blog!
Since I can, I'm posting my own Power 20 on College Football Team I'll rank who I think are the 20 best, as well as point out who I still expect to be in the Top 20 although I disagree.
(and yes I am soley doing this cuz Michigan and Tennessee lost. Sue me.)
Anyways....
Mikal's CB20!
01 USC
02 LSU
*and seriously I'd flip a coin this week, since both beat ****** teams...although I did consider moving LSU atop the first poll since it beat a conference foe on the road*
03 Wisconsin
*sorry A-Maize-In Blue, but the Badgers are winning the Big Ten*
04 West Virginia
*yes, I know they are 3rd in both polls but seriously, if ya blow them out I sorta roll my eyes and look elsewhere*
05 Florida
*I woulda kept them at 6 but...*
06 Texas
*winning by 6 to Arkansas State IN FLIPPIN AUSTIN is not a win. It's a sheer lucky break*
07 Oklahoma
08 Cal
*yes, I almost put Cal to 6 but I don't think Cal is as good as they appeared against Tennessee. I think Tenneessee is just bad*
09 Ohio State
10 Virginia Tech
*emotions aside, VT just looked bad against ECU. A more fair reading is in order next week but right now I can't see them winning the ACC*
11 Lousiville
*you beat Murray State by 70 and think I'm gonna let you stay in the top 10. Try showing mercy or a braking system next time*
12 Georgia
13 UCLA
*mark my words, USC's season will be ruined by the Bruins again*
14 Rugters
15 Auburn
*come from behind is fine. CFB against K-State is bad*
16 Penn State
17 Arkansas
18 Georgia Tech
*as a reward for smashing the **** out of the Mighty Weis Brigade And Their Wide Array Of QBs!*
19 Nebraska
20 TCU
As for those I expect in the top 20:
* Tennessee over GaTech, although UT sucked in Berkley
* FlaState over TCU but that is more due to the Sems (who will be lookin like hell against Clemson) not playin 'til Labor Day
* MIchigan...since I expect plenty of morons believe in Lee Corso's belief in their offense. Of course missing that Michigan can't outscore teams who figure out that Michigan's defense is prayer-oriented (as in pray they can tackle and hope that the divine God doesn't lead them back to the sidelines like they love to do since Ball State last year)

Well, obviously. I almost ranked Appy State in the top ten, since I think these plucky fellows could whip most of the Bowl Subdivision easily. The Sun Belt and Mid American or even Conference USA should consider extending an invite up.

Here's my early take on how things shake on the Saturday Games
5 Questions
1) Can Michigan recover and beat oregon?
Hells no. Why? Whatever Carr says, Michigan is thrown off after looking like morons at home. And Oregon runs pretty much the same offense as Appy State and unless the Wolverines' defensive coordinator can figure out what he's doing, they will be lucky to escape September with one win (against Notre Dame).
2) Can VaTech beat LSU?
Nope. VaTech's lines looked lost against East Carolina and while we must adjust our understanding due to their pressure placed on them, they will not fix their problems in time to do anything against the scary Tigers.
3) Which team 11-20 is most at risk?
Mikal's #16 Auburn. Considering they should have beat K-State by a lot, they need to be concerned with South Florida rolling into town...and USF isn't scared of ****.
4) The best game of the week?
#6 Texas v #20 TCU. Texas Christian is looking to bust the BCS bubble and a win against a clearly lost Tejas side (in Austin even) will easily move them ahead of the Hawai'ians and their contest to outscore all teams playing in a weekend and Boise State, who wants to be this season's Boise State.
5) Can USC stay #1 without playing this week?
Unless VaTech pulls the upset in Baton Rouge and Wisconsin gets caught in Sin City, absolutely not. LSU, Wisconsin, a WestVa win against at Marshall and even a Florida victory over Troy could push USC well down. Even Texas, with an impressive stomping of TCU, could be ahead of the Trojans. USC picked a bad week to have a rest week.
Game predictors:
01 USC - off, so need some help to hold off the Cajun Tigers and stay numero uno
02 LSU v 10 Virginia Tech - this is almost a non-contest. Sure VaTech can win the ACC Coastal but will come up well short against a determined LSU side. LSU 35-12
03 Wisconsin at UNLV - Could be trap game, since the focus will be on them in terms of Big 10. Wisc should win.
04 West Virginia at Marshall - Gimme game for these Mountaineers
05 Florida v Troy - I'd love a Troy-set but they are in Gainesville so not gonna happen.
06 Texas v 20 TCU - Texas as they were against Arkansas State will get stomped on by the Frogs, especially seeing as TCU gets all their best players back. TCU will edge out a victory.
07 Oklahoma v Miami of Florida - This could be a delicious match. I'll call the Okies to win but won't be shocked at a surprising upset.
08 Cal at Colorado State. Who the hell scheduled this game? CSU can hang with the Bears but Call will win this one in Fort Collins.
09 Ohio State v Akron. Can OSU score more this week than they did against Youngstown State? Maybe, but the Ohio Staters should win. of course, Akron likes to get a shocking scalp once a year so the Buckeyes better be paying attention.
11 Louisville v Middle Tennessee - can Louisville score 70 points again? Do they think they are Hawai'i?
12 Georgia v South Carolina. Ya gotta love early SEC action. UGA should have no problem winning this one over the Fighting Spurriers.
13 UCLA v BYU. The Cougars can stroll in with a win over Arizona but UCLA isn't Arizona. The Bruins will walkover this one.
14 Rugters v Navy - This is a tasty game too. Rugters should impress a lot here.
15 Auburn v USF - Upset special. Especially after last week's debacle. I rilly see four Big East sides getting into the polls next week.
16 Penn State v Notre Dame - How bad can ND look in week 2? They can look very very very bad. Can't wait!
17 Arkansas at Alabama - The Bamas need a win to show the Saban system works. The should get it at home to the 'backs, who are not as good as the win vs. Troy gives.
18 Georgia Tech v Samford - As a reward for smashing ND, lets give you a ****** FCS side.
19 Nebraska at Wake Forest - Possible Upset Special. Yes, Wake looked bad down the stretch against Boston College but the Demon Deacons are still scary and tough, especially at home. The Huskers desperately need the win before USC comes a'callin to Lincoln and may not get it. Very tight matchup.

Week 2
Mikal's CB20!
01 LSU
*and well deserved*
02 West Virginia
*Sure their first 20 minutes was rough but unlike Tejas, they figured out how to impress against Marshall before halftime*
03 Oklahoma
*I hate Oklahoma but anyone who can throttle Miami as they did deserves NatTitle consideration. I almost moved them to 2. Ew...*
04 USC
*bad week to be off*
05 Florida
*Good smackdown of Troy but was not enough to make a case to be ahead of the Okies*
06 Wisconsin
*ugly win in Sin City, hence the drop*
07 Cal
08 Texas
*unlike the Mountaineers, Texas took about 45 minutes to actually figure out how to win. Scoring 24 at the end shows that TCU forgot how to play*
09 Ohio State
*3-2 against Akron at the half? I don't care you won by 18, what the hell is this?*
10 Penn State
*A present for smacking around ND*
11 Lousiville
*So they are Hawai'i on offense, Michigan on defense. Swell.*
12 UCLA
*But they played BYU...so judge with caution*
13 Rugters
*Play the way they did against Navy and we could be talking a NatTitle contender. In Jersey. Say wha??*
14 Nebraska
*******-as-****-non-called pass interference aside, The Huskers looked well against the Deamon Deacons. They will get slapped around by the Trojans next week, sadly*
15 Virginia Tech
*VaTech felt sorry for Michigan, hence the collapse of defense?*
16 Georgia Tech
*But you played Samford. What about some real comfort*
17 Arkansas
*Alabama is 2-0 and they at home. The 'Backs might get pained*
18 Boston College
*But it's really against NCSt who sucks normally.*
19 Oregon
*Beating Houston and Michigan worth a rank, methinks. Since Houston was a challenge*
20 Clemson
*But they did look bad early against ULa-Mo*
20 South Florida
*Yeah, I called a tie. Sue me.*
As for those I expect in the top 20:
*Georgia...and I was hesitant to drop them but I feel that you really need to win to be in my polls.
Auburn will be around 24th in the real ones...possibly behind mah beloved South Floridians. TCU, BSU and possibly Hawai'i will be exiting this week, since two lost in expected loss matchups and one looked like **** in Ruston.
And Michigan v Notre Dame is a extra-comfy pillow fight for ESPN's Bottom 10.

Week 3
Mikal's CB20!
01 LSU
*although those 19 they got last week will be lulled back to the Trojans since all LSU played this week was Middle Tennessee. And also that The Fightin' Gobblers were crap.*
02 West Virginia
*The forgotten ones, since they smacked around Maryland on a Thursday night*
03 Southern Cal
*I. Don't. Care. Good and needed win vs the Huskers but I still say LSU is a much better side than the Trojans.*
04 Florida
*Beating up the Tennesseans was lovely and more impressive than USC. However, ya'll won in the swamp. So not really able to leap.*
05 Oklahoma
*Yay, you slapped around Utah State. Not caring*
06 Cal
*Nice wallop on LaTech. Now how about remembering Arizona before the trip to Eugene.*
07 Penn State
*So was Buffalo a bigger challenge than Michigan will be next week. Signs say yes to me.*
08 Rugters
*So it was Norfolk State. They played better than Badgers, Buckeyes and Longhorns.*
09 Ohio State
*Why are you still taking 3 quarters to warm up? Seriously, Washington is Washington and even you're "impressive" win is shadowed by you bei8ng down by 3 at the half.*
10 Texas
*Look, 3 slightly competent quarters on the road in no-to-friendly Orlando and THEN you forget to play. UCF should have whopped your ass and the fact that you have chanced out to 3-0 rather than the 0-3 side you act like is astonishing. will we still suck for Rice?*
11 Wisconsin
*You're ******** me. You ALMOST LOST TO THE CITADEL. WHO IS NOT APPY STATE, BUT SLIGHTLY WORSE IN THE PLAYOFF DIVISION! I thought the Badgers might win it all but now I think Purdue has a better shot at a title than them.*
12 Oregon
*Smashing around those pesky Bulldogs suggest Oregon might be a sleeper in the Pac10. But they best pay attention to Stanford so they can have a top-10 battle in Eugene in two weeks time.*
13 Boston College
*Eh, ya beat GaTech. I guess ya can move forward*
14 Clemson
*Game against the Wolfpack next week should bore me to tears. I sense the Tigers pretending to kick ass til midseason again.*
15 Alabama
*Not that I think the Crimson Sabans are this good. It's just...everyone else sucks so bad.*
16 South Carolina
*Nor do I think the Fighting Spurriers are that good. But whipping SCST gets some movement up*
17 South Florida
*Reward for an offweek. Like I'm moving Texas A&M or Hawai'i in.*
18 Virginia Tech
*Wake. the. HELL. up. You took THAT long to do anything against Ohio?*
19 Louisville
*Er...I know I should drop them out but I don't like the other possibles (Seriously, why would I put Mizzou in?) so for now, the Michigan defense will be rewarded even in a loss.*
20 Nebraska
*Er...they are better than Texas A&M?*
Now.... 5 Questiosn Now Answered And Posed
Answered
01 USC or LSU? I still say LSU. But if VaTech doesn't wake from their coma, then we may see their marquee win needing to be against the Meyers.
02 Is Michigan's win a sign they turned the corner? Absolutely not. It just confirms how absolutely ****** the Fighting Weiss' really are. Michigan's weak defense got a break that ND has nothing there, but Penn State does have an offense and defense. Michigan hits the road at 1-2.
03 Does anyone want to win the Big Ten? I don't think so, unless they are Purdue. The favorites look horrid - Michigan is 1-2, Ohio State has looked like hell and Wisconsin apparently doesn't know what it is doing and tripping to victory. Penn State might just luck oput, but Purdue and their ****** nonconference sked might make them a sleppy pick. Oh, and ha-ha-ha to Minnesota to loosing to Fla. Atlantic. And to N'western
04 Who the hell ****ed that call in Temple/UConn. Sorry Big East Refs, ya'll is blind, sicne the Temple QB caught that pass from the other Temple player that threw it. QB caught it with a foot down, and slammed a foot down again before going out. AND had controlled. The Owls got robbed of a win.
05 Who's win was the bestest and most needed? Florida's over Tennessee. The Worst win? Texas over UCF or VaTech over Ohio or Wisconsin over Citadel or Ohio State over Washington....I just can't decide. They all looked like hot cooked ass.
5 to ponder
01 Is the Big Ten the worst BCS conference, or doe that distinction still belong to the ACC?
02 Which of the ****** 3 Pretenders - Ohio State, Texas, Wisconsin - will get the loss the so deserve to have slapped on them first?
03 Shall the Sun Belt continue to steal upsets, or are Troy and Fla. Atlantic the only decent teams there?
04 Can my beloved Air Force Falcons knock off BYU to keep their weird streak alive?
05 Since the Spurriers will get slapped like **** against LSU, can Alabama keep the threat alive against Georgia?
Kisses and kicks of the football to all!

5 to ponder
01 Is the Big Ten the worst BCS conference, or does that distinction still belong to the ACC? Seriously, I think they are tied. And the Mountain West and Conference USA are just above the both of them in level of quality. If only Appy State could join them all! However, since in the only game between the ACC and B10 this season Duke won, I'd say the Big Ten is easily the worst conference of the BCS. But the ACC is still ****-horrible. SEC is holding off the Pac-10, while the Big East is still better than Oklahoma and the 11 Dwarves.
02 Which of the ****** 3 Pretenders - Ohio State, Texas, Wisconsin - will get the loss the so deserve to have slapped on them first? Wisconsin is most prone, with Iowa wanting to quickly correct the errors in the Iowa State debacle. However, Ohio State against Northwestern is much more obvious, even if the Wildcats lost to Duke at home and the Buckeyes are in home. It might be a while before these three finbally lose, when they should have been with one loss already.
03 Shall the Sun Belt continue to steal upsets, or are Troy and Fla. Atlantic the only decent teams there? Actually, Troy is the only good side. Minnesota is crap so Atlantic's victory, while lovely, isn't as greatly impressive. However, both of these sides could play their way into bowls this year.
04 Can my beloved Air Force Falcons knock off BYU to keep their weird streak alive? Yes. AFA shall win the Utah State Championships as they get a 3 game lead over them all in the Mountain West before they get a chance for redemption against Navy. And get the damned Commander-In-Cheifs trophy back.
05 Since the Spurriers will get slapped like **** against LSU, can Alabama keep the threat alive against Georgia? Bama could...but I still think the Saban Brigade is not as good as we think they are.
Games of the Week
**Michigan State v Notre Dame. 3-0 v 0-3 and it's a reverse! MSU will climb to 4-0 easily here and get 6 in a row there in South Bend.
**South Carolina v LSU. The battle in Death Vaelly in what could sneakily be a SEC title game preview.
**Air Force v Brigham Young. Mid-Major deliciousness of the week, as mah Falcons look to get to 3-0 in conference play and BYU looks to build on their stomping of Tulsa.
Easiest to call: Boston College over Army. Or Penn State over Michigan
Upset Special: Washington State over USC
CB20 Previews
01 LSU v 16 South Carolina. So this is the main game and would let LSU have another marquee win to leap it back over USC. Of course, this is also at home so dunno. Regardless, the Fightin' Spurriers won't have a prayer against the Tigers.
02 West Virginia v East Carolina. This should be a sleepy walkover for the Mountaineers.
03 Southern Cal v Washington State. WSU loves to spring the trap on the Trojans and if this was in the Evergreen State I'd call this as the upset match but in La-La-Land I'd say the Trojans. But it's gonna be closer than expected.
04 Florida at Ole Miss. Inbetween two major home dates (Tennessee and a ****** Auburn) could spell a trap. But that shouldn't happen.
05 Oklahoma finished their scrmiage with Tulsa. Sigh, why not schedule a real team besides Miami?
06 Cal v Arizona. AZ caught them in Tuscon, the loss that knocked them out of the Rose Bowl. Cal wants to stay in the hunt before the trip the Eugene and better stay awake.
07 Penn State at Michigan. Whoo boy michigan, dontcha wish you had Indy or Illy for the conference opener? Nittany Lions should run circles over the Wolverine defense, since unlike ND, they have a defense.
08 Rugters is off. And will probably still look better than the Buckeyes, Longhorns or Badgers.
09 Ohio State v Northwestern. OSU could finally get the trap loss they should have gotten at some point in the last three. N'western will spring the trap in Ann Arbor next week, but the Buckeyes will bore everyone to victory.
10 Texas v Rice. And if they keep playing as they have, Rice could score their first win. Don't hold your breath but this could be hysterical in result regardless of the win. Will the Longhorns be looking ahead to KState?
11 Wisconsin v Iowa. The Badgers have looked like hell but at least they haven't lost to Iowa State. At home, the Badgers should win easily.
12 Oregon at Stanford. While the Cardinal suck balls, Again, Some More; if the Duckies look too far to Cal, they could be looking at a shocking loss.
13 Boston College v Army. Yawn.
14 Clemson at NC State. Double Yawn. The Mighty O'Briens are really crap, seeing as they lost to UCF
15 Alabama v Georgia. I still think the Crimson Sabans aren't that good and UGA could easily spring the trap.
17 South Florida v North Carolina. Can the sexy sexy Bulls avoid tripping when the spotlight is on them against the Fightin' Butches? Ain't gonna be UNC taking them down.
18 Virginia Tech v William & Mary. Well, I'd say it's a wash but after their 3-quarter stupidity match against Ohio, I wouldn't be shocked if the Gobblers became the second FBS to drop to the Playoff Division.
19 Louisville v Syracuse. Well, that will remedy the Cardinals' lack of defense, since Syracuse might be the only team in the land that's worse than Notre Dame.
20 Nebraska v Ball State. Well...um...this isn't as sexy for the Huskers since Ball State drove Navy round the bend. Nebraska should win easy but this could be a tempting upset special.

How dare you not mention Kentucky/Arkansas. That game is going to wind up being a very important game in the long run, whichever team wins.
That being said, please god, let Penn State beat Michigan back to the stone age so Lloyd Carr can get his just desserts.

Sunday Morning I HATE Penn State And I Forgot About KY CB20
5 to answer
01 Is Michigan better or was Penn State annoyingly bad. More of the latter. Why? Penn State looked luscious against ND and some other weaklings. We all bought into the hype, since PSU's offense forgot to just. move. forward.
02 Is Purdue the Best of the "big ten"? Er...maybe. Ohio State finally put together a good game but the Boilers might have enough to scare the bejesus out of the "major" 4 and sneak their way to the Rose Bowl. Of course I ranked the Spartans instead of the Boilers since beating ND is easily better than winning over the Gimpy Gophers.
03 Will the Fake 3 ever lose? Well, Wisconsin keeps trying. OSU and Tejas got some lovely gimme smackdowns this week and possibly next week so we must wait.
04 Has Louisville gained Michigan's defense? Apparently so, since you LOST TO SYRACUSE!
05 Does anyone care for anyone besides the Top 5? I mean the KY story is wunnerful and USF will scare the bejebbers out of the BSC Bowls but everyone past Florida is so dull, listless, or should have more losses that I don't sorta care.
CB20
01 LSU. Beatin the Ol' Ball Coach with some trickery is good. As is a 21-point lead until ya'll were nice.
02 Southern Cal. Still not bumpin ya to #1 yet but good job smashing around the Cougars.
03 West Virginia. Yes yes you beat East Carolina, but USC beat Wazzu State. Besides, you get the marquee match next week wit da BULLZ in Tampa next weekend.
04 Oklahoma. You did scrum with Tulsa there, so you can be rewarded.
05 Florida. Congrats on the win in the Magnolia State but ya need to impress just a tad more to stay in the Elite 5.
06 Cal. And how delicious will Autzen be next week between #6 and #10?
07 Ohio State. Congrats, you played a really decent game for a change. And with trip to the Gimpy Gophers, OSU might finally show something towards the Elite.
08 Rugters. Hey, straying in the top 10 is sexy, no no no?
09 Texas. Grr, you played a complete game just in time for KState comming next week.
10 Oregon. Hey you played some Arena football with Stanford but that's always good, especially in San Fran.
11 Clemson. Like I think they are legit. But their win over NCSt was better than BC.
12 Wisconsin. Yay, you won. Barely. Lets try moving forward with Michigan State in town after their ND-winning-rank.
13 Boston College. You staved off Army. Hurray? Thank Heavens for UMass and Bowling Green and ND before the next challenge at VaTech.
14 South Florida. And don't think they are not salivating at the chance to beat West Va on the telly come Friday.
15 Virgina Tech. Although a win over William & Mary is not as impressive as a chance to beat up on the Mighty Butch Davis'.
16 Penn State. Yes yes you lost to crappy Michigan but it's not as bad as it could have been. Although all they had to do was trying MOVING FORWARD and maybe confuse the QB by ignoring Mike Hart and...maybe...ATTACKING THE QB. Oi.
17 Kentucky. Hellow Wildcats, ya looked like some crazy survivors against Arkansas. Have a match with pesky Florida Atlantic as a reward. Remember, they beat Minnesota.
18 Georgia. As a reward for sorta doing well to win against The Crimson Sabans.
19 Michigan State. Like I think the Spartys are better than say Purdue. But 4-0 in non-conf with a smashing of Pitt and ND helps. Lets see how they do in Badger country.
20 South Carolina. Sure you were down 21 but only lost by 12. Maybe you can be sneaky, considering Tennessee is the bottom dweller.
5 Questions Asked
01 Can Wisconsin continue to test fate with Sparty making his way to Camp Randall and win?
02 Is West Virginia/South Florida gonna be the bestest game all season?
03 Can Kentucky continue to befuddle?
04 Who's next on the shocker loss trail? USC at Washington, LSU at Tulane or Florida home to Auburn?
05 If Mike Hart keeps on talking can I shove some socks down his throat? Cuz seriously the ra-ra-ra nonsense before ND is nice but your team is 2-2 so shut the **** up until you're BACK in the polls.

Kentucky is really a surprising team this season. How far can they truly go this year.

Am I the only one not shocked by this turn of events? Kentucky has(okay, had) the biggest secret weapon in all of college football in Andre Woodson. He's a guaranteed top 5 draft pick in the NFL draft this coming April as long as he doesn't do something to screw it up(which, naturally, he will ). Can they compete with the LSUs and Floridas of the world? Nah, not really, their defense will prevent that from happening. But their offense is just good enough that I think they might sneak into a big bowl this year.
****ing Penn State. You had the opportunity to beat Lloyd Carr out of Michigan and you couldn't do it! Ah well.
And I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one anticipating WVU/UCF. I'm looking for 100 combined points.

5 Questions Asked
01 Can Wisconsin continue to test fate with Sparty making his way to Camp Randall and win? Yes, but barely. Again. But next week's trip to Illini-land is a bigger test.
02 Is West Virginia/South Florida gonna be the bestest game all season? Probably. Considering this could eiher be a 6-3 game or a score for the lovers of Arena Football.
03 Can Kentucky continue to befuddle? Maybe. But while I expect them to look good in probable losses to LSU and Florida, their lack of defense is worrysome. They must smack around Florida Atlantic this week before the SoCarolina matchup to reaffirm their sleeper status. I expect them to drop 3 conference games - LSU, Florida & Vandy (cuz Vandy loves to trap 'ya).
04 Who's next on the shocker loss trail? USC at Washington, LSU at Tulane or Florida home to Auburn? = Florida. Although USC struggles in the Land of Rain, Florida would be be most likely to loose to Auburn, especially if the Gators are thinking too far ahead to the juicy matchup in Baton Rouge.
05 If Mike Hart keeps on talking can I shove some socks down his throat? Cuz seriously the ra-ra-ra nonsense before ND is nice but your team is 2-2 so shut the **** up until you're BACK in the polls.= Sadly, I can't. Since I am not going to Ann Arbor. And while I fully belive Northwestern will spring the upset, I'm resigned to Annoying Blue winning up to Michigan State. Who, while collapsing as of this week, will win. As will Wisconsin. And Ohio State. Again. Making Micigan a very lucky 7-5 and Les Miles being offered oodles of cash to leave bayou country.
Games of the Week
**West Virginia v South Florida. Winner challenges Rugters for the Big East title, and the BSC begin to cry at their fate of taking, like, Rugters to the Orange Bowl.
**Cal v Oregon. Which is almost as good as West Va/USF. Of course, the winner wqill still be the main threat to the Trojan reign of terror.
**Kansas State v Texas. Tejas wants revenge, I want two straight losses by the Kats to make Mack Brown cry.
Easiest to call: Boston College over UMass. Cuz really, how are they impressive?
Upset Special: Illinois over Penn State. But this is also expected. So K-State over Texas
CB20 Predicto-Game
01 LSU at Tulane. And Tulane shoiuld cancel until they can show some forward progress towards challenging for the Conference USA title, let alone LSU.
02 Southern Cal at Washington. They lost to WSU last year in Pullam, so expect the Huskies and The Savior or whatever will be primed in Seattle. USC still wins but unlike their blowouts, this will be somewhat closer.
03 West Virginia at 14 South Florida. Talk about a scrum. I want a USF upset but a Mountaineer win us them solidly in the national title hunt.
04 Oklahoma at Colorado. Yay, more scrimmage time, this time in conference. But remember Texas is next weekend! Okies by at least 25.
05 Florida v Auburn. With LSU trip ahead, can they avoid a trip to the ****** Tigers? Yes, but in a nailbiter.
06 Cal at 10 Oregon. Ooh how fun. Another 30+ score set by both sides would be funny, but I think Cal's defense will be ff and let Oregon slide home as the threat to USC's title aspirations. But Cal will still shock USC.
07 Ohio State at Minnesota. Yay for gimme games!
08 Rugters v Maryland. Their first major test, and they have to stay focused since they know Cincy is commin' to town next week.
09 Texas v Kansas State. I pray for small miracles like upsets. I don't expect to see one, but I shall hope for a Texas meltdown.
11 Clemson at georgia Tech. And let the collapse of the Clemson Tigers begin...now. GaTech snags a shocker and makes everyone remember that Clemson continues to forget how to play starting right around now.
12 Wisconsin v 19 Michigan State. This could by hysterical since Wisconsin can barely move and Michigan State's defense sometimes forgets to get onto the field, while their offense is on loan from Louisville. Think Wisc/Citadel with Wisc barely winning again.
13 Boston College v UMass. Ooh, how hard. Jesus, if Wisconsin and Texas weren't so **** I'd say BC is the fakest undefeated team in all the land.
15 Virgina Tech v North Carolina. Can we call this a walkover in favor of the Gobblers and look forward to their game in the other Death Valley next week?
16 Penn State at Illinois. This is must-win for both sides, mostly cuz Penn State shot themselves in the foot with their bewildering loss to that defense last week in Ann Arbor. But I sense the Illini are going bowling and this win helps The Zookers make it there.
17 Kentucky v Florida Atlantic. FAU beat Minnesota at FAU. Middle Tenn showed us all that Louisville is crap. So Kentucky better find a defense or the Bluegrass State will look like idiots again and pegged with a major L.
18 Georgia v Ole Miss. Georgia's got a sort of gimme game. But don't expect the Rebels to bow down easily.
20 South Carolina v Mississippi State. The Mighty Crooms are 3-1 and 1-1 in conference play. With a win in Auburn. Like the Ol' Ball Coach will scare them. Missy State could spring the upset easy here.
