It feel like if you're asian or white, it's better and more accepted for you to pursue a higher education while if you're latino or black, you're doubted every second you're pursuing a damn degree.

The question is complex. Black immigrants from the islands, Africa, etc. and other minority groups (Asians, Arabs, Hispanics) tend to do much better in the U.S. than Black Americans.
There's a strong self-destructive streak in Black America that stems from survival tactics that goes back to slavery . Any black person who can read or write was punished back in the slavery days. Any kid that's well-fed gets auctioned off into slavery. Being educated, wed, and having any terms of upwards mobility back in those days meant you were either going to be whipped, lynched, or sold off to the Caribbean (to face more brutal labor in the sun). Alot of those self-destructive behaviors still exist within the black poor. Any social elevation is automatically seen as ''becoming white''. Even little kids don't like to be booksmart out of fear of bullying/being ostracized by their peers. It's a very complex issue with alot of historical & economic factors. Bougie vs. ghetto thing is real. The well-to-do ''uppity'' blacks have different perspectives/ways of life than impoverished blacks. It is a bit of a kii though when black kids from the suburbs try to act gangsta.
