So, just listened to this one.
I love Jessie, the potential she has is phenomenal. "Wild" was cool, she did her thing and came from left-field like no one really expected. "It's My Party", however, is really underwhelming and just
bland. I have nothing against artists just wanting to sing over fun beats about mindless topics, but the song isn't captivating at all. It's kinda just
there.
Also, didn't Jessie say a while ago that this new album was going to be a lot darker than the first? From memory, she said something like "WYA was a lighter album because I wasn't ready to write about darker topics, but now that I'm a lot happier I can really start to focus on some serious issues" or something to that effect. "Wild" and "It's My Party" don't indicate a "serious", "darker" album at all.

Of course these tracks will probably just be album tracks but I was under the impression that these "serious" issues would stem a little further than a couple of select songs on the album.
