Beyonce did not slay with 4.
All of Rihanna's albums peaked at #3-#1 and all except one sold 3m+ WW.
Rihanna currently gets more headlines, more searches, more single success, more album sucess, and is an infinitely bigger name in fashion than Bey. All you guys have is touring.

Sis, I'd stretch it to 7 million, but I hope you aren't deluded enough to believe her label's inflated sales numbers that said it sold 9 million .
The thing you guys have yet to realize is that 4 had no hits, but yet, sold almost as much as 70% of Rihanna's albums. it just shows Beyonce can sell without a hit, which Rihanna has yet to prove(and the album was also R&B - while Rihanna makes pure pop music).
WW? Don't know what they ranked - and really don't care. Still mediocre sales for the 'Black Madonna'.
Did you not read my post properly? More than half of Beyonce's career is pre-digital era, which back then, artists relied on album sales, not single sales a platinum hit back then would be worth a 3x-4x platinum hit now, which Rihanna's best-selling single is only 4x plat, and Beyonce's is almost 2x plat(pre-digital era)
And headlines don't prove anything. It shows she's more popular - which is a given, but is ultimately irrelevant to the topic at hand, since controversy does not prove the strength of your superstar-dom. If that was the case, Chris Brown would be able to sell more than 500k copies.

Rihanna obviously. She's known everywhere, her songs are all over the place. Meanwhile Beyoncé's only known in 1 place and her song is nowhere to be found.

And they're still happening today.
And anyway, what does time have to do with anything? This thread is BIGGER not BIGGER NOW. So if you said who has a more iconic dress? Audrey Hepburn or Rihanna? The answer would be Audrey Hepburn. It doesn't matter that it happened so long ago. Bigger is bigger. More is more.

It has already been proven that it crossed 8 million.

Are you even aware of the promo Beyonce did during 4? The amount of singles it got? The amount of videos it got? The amount of news coverage her pregnancy got? It did not sell just because it had Beyonce's name on it. There were other factors that helped. stop

Rihanna's solo career debuted 2 years after Beyonce's and she's still a digital FORCE yet Beyonce isn't. Enough with the excuses.

Always thinking locally. Typical Bey stan. WW Rihanna's singles crush Beyonce, and you know it. But if you want to focus on the US only, Rihanna can still get 3x platinum singles easily while Bey struggles to hit even platinum.

All this is true. I'm sure the pregnancy and promo got press for her and sales, but people don't buy things because someone got pregnant or just because they saw them on TV saying BUY MY ALBUM. They buy it because they want it. And the singles didn't do all that well, which goes to show that it's not the type of music the majority of people are wanting to consume. And yet her album sold very well given this fact.
And the same could be said for Rihanna. TTT had a HUGE hit single in a style that was super trendy, she had promo, she had a fourth quarter release, she had six singles (more than 4's) she had Chris Brown collaborations, she had everything. It wasn't just her name either that sold it.

If 4 is a flop, then 4/7 of Rihanna's albums are flops as well.
So again, so what are Rihanna stans basing their claims on? It seems to only be on itunes and chart positions
While Beyonce stans focus on album sales, respect, acclaim, touring, influence and Rihanna stans get mad and say those things don't count lol

You could be proud of these numbers if they were Keri Hilton's, not Beyonce's.
