 | #5: Teams / We Have A Room With Everything
I didn't know about this musical group at all until this year, but I rather enjoyed this EP. My favorite song taken from it is the title track. I know this is probably not on ATRL's radar, but it's definitely a good listen for those who appreciate experimental electronic instrumental work! I kind of fully forgot about this band until I decided to gather my top lists - I downloaded this kind of out of nowhere.

 | #4: Nicki Minaj / Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up
Though the title is exceedingly long and drastic, this EP add-on to Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded was a great listen. It's like a mash-up of Nicki's debut and the album which it is connected to, a good summary of her career thus far. She probably shouldn't continue to move in this direction in the future, but it was still an enjoyable EP. I hope she makes more Up In Flames and High Schools instead of songs where she raps about her career. Kind of tacky IMO.

Stand-outs: I'm Legit (feat. Ciara), High School (feat. Lil Wayne), Up In Flames |
 | #3: Karmin / Hello
From a group that everyone doesn't hesitate to criticize and call annoying, I was quite astonished by the musical ability from Karmin with this EP. The songs included are far more hits than misses in what is a very well-developed, flowing 7 tracks. Amy (the lead singer) has undeniable talent and flow. It was a surprisingly delightful addition to my collection in 2012.

Stand-outs: I Told You So, Hello, Brokenhearted, I'm Just Sayin' |
 | #2: Lana Del Rey / Paradise
This EP is a magically flowing body of work. Lyrically and instrumentally, Lana has found her niche and place in music with this EP. It's flawless from start to finish, with the slight exception of the overly-dramatic Yayo (which I have been told is a reference to cocaine). I fall asleep to this EP daily. Sidenote: this is possibly the best-fitting re-release in recent history.

Stand-outs: American, Cola, Bel Air |
 | #1: Azealia Banks / 1991
This EP is incredible! Azealia really came and solidified herself (temporarily, at least) in the music business with this set of tracks. There's really not much I can say that the music doesn't say itself. Azealia brought her A game of hardcore lyrics and house-driven beats to form a unique and great musical construction. Sidenote: this EP has the lowest track count of all 5.

I'll be taking a short break and will roll out my top 25 albums after this weekend!
