but for some artists the shipments will be close to actual sales because retailers will have ordered the correct amount to match the actual demand. But for hugely hyped artists they will have over ordered stock to make sure they meet any huge demand. But then they could get stuck with extra stock if they dont sell.

Point is, the actual real sales figures that were widely used by the worlds media had Gaga around 5.4 million for 2011. All the media were relaying that figure. Just like Adele apparently sold 15.3 million. So basically retailers over ordered Gagas album by 1.4 million. Not hard to believe when you remember how that album was being hyped up early 2011.

Loud has sold 425K before leaving the 'Top40' this year..... And since then it has sold 100K in the UK alone and another 100K from France and the US alone. I think we can all agree than another 100K from all of the other countries' cherry picked sales is not exaggerated...

There we have the 6.5M for Loud.

Also.... 2.6M for TTT in 2011????? TTT has sold +1.5M this year..... Does this mean TTT is over 4M??? I dont think so. The same goes to BTW. 6.8M may be shipments... but it didnt reach the 6M (YET)
