It's still not great. It's underwhelming and average. It was their lowest season premiere, which is understandable given the circumstances, but it literally had NO competition last night.

There was nothing on last night though, and yet it was still their lowest premiere yet with 12.3 million viewers. How do you think the show is going to fare with having two additional nights with more shows to compete with?

On NBC, the two-hour premiere of The Voice scored a 4.1 adults 18-49 rating, down -39% from last season's time period premiere on Monday 2/6/12 (6.7/17) and is its lowest-rated premiere.

I wonder how these singing competitions are all going to fare with even more options coming up.

Well you have to remember that it premiered right after the superbowl with heavy promotion. Everyones tvs were already tuned into the station to begin with.
