It was not terminal. Although his health took a serious blow last year but he said he has recovered and the fact that he was able to do his campaign and give speeches across the country backs up his claim to some extent.

I was 8. I will be 28 when this third term ends, and if he got reelected another time and finished a 5th period I'd be 34 by then

I'm a little confused about the regional results. Although the gap halved (1.29 million votes compared to 3.02 million votes in 2006) apparently Chavez won in over 20 states (there are 24) which is a rare result, even for him. How could he possibly win in Zulia that has historically been against him?

Hugo Chávez: 7.860.982 54,84%
Henrique Capriles: 6.386.155 44,55%

I could even understand Chavez winning in Carabobo but Zulia? During the Parliamentary elections in 2010 Chávez only got 3 out of 15 seats from Zulia and less than 45% of the votes there, every Venezuelan knows opposition candidates always win in Zulia Chavez won in Zulia by a wider margin than he won in Bolivar, a state that was usually supportive of him.

Lara, Miranda and Nueva Esparta their results nnnnn not a 743 vote lead for Chavez in Miranda The very same state Capriles is governor of.
