I know the purpose of this thread is regarding the censoring and advertisement but perhaps a better alternative to advertising that will still bring in money is giving members an incentive to donate. I know there's already ATRL+ but not everyone can afford or is willing to give $20 at a time.
If you give members an incentive to donate, you could potentially be bringing in much more and a much more consistent income for the site. Obviously they wouldn't reap the same benefits as ATRL+ members, but some things you could offer are:
- A title like ATRL Contributor underneath username (similar to the ATRL Adminstrator/Moderator title).
- 1 name change per $10 donated.
- Increasing avatar size limit to 125x150 for ATRL+ and contributors.
The title and avatar size could last for 1 week per $1 or 1 month per $5. Some people might even find it more suitable to buy ATRL+ since it gives you 6 months for $20 instead of paying in increments of $5 which will give you only 4 months. Obviously all the logistics and incentives would be up for you guys to decide but just a few ideas as to what could be done to increase donations.

...Anyway, well if it can be removed for moderators, wouldn't it also be possible to unlock the same things for normal users, so that we could see the words, but guests and advertisers couldn't? Just wondering if that's realistic.
