Anyway yes - protein can be found in a lot of things. My vegetarian friends live just as well and are as healthy as anyone else. Yes that is true. But they also have the resources, the knowledge, and access to the amount of alternatives they need to be this way. Others in different positions rely on meat for subsistence. That was my initial point in comparing meat foods to fur.

Vegans are more of concern, but legumes are a good alternative for protein and iron. Also, many plant foods naturally contain iron and protein, and vitamin C helps you get in more iron and protein from these plants.
Why are you treating vegetarianism as some type of marathon? You don't need any additional resources or "accesses". You just need a grocery store. Done.
It's harder for a while, sure. But that's not the point. The fact is that meat is unnecessary. Eating it and wearing it. Don't be a hypocrite.
