That must be due to the "complete my album" feature. Not sure, though.
They waited too much to seriously push Payphone... and if they don't get it this week with the multiple versions out, they won't ever after (which is how it will go as Carly has too much advantage in streaming and still competitive in sales and airplay).
A number 2 peak and a wonderful chart run in sales and stability is still a wonderful achievement for them.
If/when they miss number one, the truth is Payphone has been a worldwide smash and that is all that counts.

Good Times is there to sit at number one as well in a... good time
The sales, AirPlay points are veeeery close though. Payphone averaged about 95-100% of CMM's sales last week and their airplay is almost identical (~133 for CMM and ~137 for PP - using Nielsen numbers). It's definitely goin to be a tight race.
