His music is fine. There just isn't enough interest there. It's not a result of gay men deliberately deciding not to support him. I think he is taking it too personally, assuming that people dislike him when they may just be indifferent.

This approach of calling out gay men won't work in his favor. If anything, it will be counterproductive.

He never said said gay men "deliberately" decided not to support him. Most gay just aren't interested in a gay male pop star (especially a feminine one) and prefer female ones. Just look at how many people on ATRL live vicariously through their favorite female stars with GIFs of them and whatnot.

Exactly. He was just saying how sad it is that most the LGBT community doesn't even notice how poorly represented it is in mainstream music and that there doesn't seem to be any desire at all within the community to change it.
