I'll take everyone through it slowly. Children raise your hand if you think homophobes and fence sitters won't be alienated by the following images
Shout if for one second you think the born this way video will appeal and connect to anyone who isn't a little monster or a gaga supporter, shout twice as loud if you think more conservative viewers will enjoy and relate to it.
Not think about how strongly Gaga associates herself with gay rights in the public eye. Do you think someone who doesn't follow pop culture and who is midly homophobic will change their mind by Gaga grossing them out? Do you understand now why people say Gaga has done more harm than good to the social acceptance of gays?? Is it now clear why so many in the gay community hate on Gaga despite her efforts to advocate their rights; because all she's done is isolate them even more and alienate people from the concept of "gay"?
I mean lord.

The point is not to change the homophobes right now. The point is to help people like Eric James Borges feel better about themselves. If they see the above images and realize, even though she's weird and out there, she's extraordinarily successful and on their side, it
helps.
What do you mean, this is why Little Monsters have a bad name? Because we disagree that being open and free with your sexuality is a bad thing? Because we don't think people should be forced to shut up and endure bullying, simply because people have always been bullied?
