Exactly and that is why I was happy the thread was made. I didn't even understand "REAL" as in real music but as in "straight" hip hop, and JayZ hasn't been straight hip Hop in a long time, his "fans" should be the first to admit it. Do I need to like a member to accept his taste, the songs he posted in this thread are my gems and the ones I grew up listening to. The fact that he is supposed to be from Oregon, doesn't mean **** for me, i'm from France.

Oh please. How the hell is Jay-Z a sell-out? Because he does not rap about being from the projects anymore? He is in a different part of his life now where he is a busniess mogul, married to one of the most beautiful women in the industry, and basically made an empire for himself. And I appreciate the fact that his rapping reflects that. Rap is not only about hardships, its about a person's life story.

He's not hopping around to some techno beats so give it a rest. And I'm taking up for Jay-Z because I know he is a legit MC. The only reason why your pretentious ass even says such things about him is because he has garnered so much success. Which is ridiculous.

I don't like talking about selling out, I've never thought of Nas as one. However I knew Alexandra was gonna post a flashy Jay song and in the next post praise Nas, so I posted Oochie Wally lol. I said it before but I hate the term 'real Hip-Hop'.
