Adam Lambert promises "sex music" on new album 'Trespassing'

Adam Lambert has revealed that there will be "sex music" on his forthcoming album.

The singer is currently preparing to release his second studio effort Trespassing in early 2012 and will return with a record inspired by classic disco, '90s electronica and dubstep.

Lambert told Rolling Stone: "There's party music, sex music, freaked-up-relationship S&M music. But every song explores something real."

The performer has worked with a range of industry experts including Pharrell Williams, Dr Luke and Katy Perry collaborator Bonnie McKee.

Speaking about working with Williams, the American Idol runner-up added: "Pharrell is postmodern, like Warhol. If you riff on something and make it your own, it becomes pop art."

Lambert remains thankful for the platform Idol gave him and insisted that he will use his position to highlight social prejudices in modern society.

He added: "No major label would've signed a gay 27-year-old white theater dude without Idol. Now it's about how I use the platform. Whoever you are, I hope you can find yourself in these songs. If that happens, I've won."

The star recently apologized to his fans for the delay of his new single.
