The Illuminati were a Bavarian secret society of non-religious scholars, thinkers and philosophers. They existed in the 1700's. They, because they were secular, were stomped out by the Roman Catholic Church and King Karl Theodor in the 1700's. They never made it to America. There is no proof that they worshipped the Devil.
