Excluding the exceptional ADELE
Singles (Right now)
US - nope, Katy Perry rules this area
Worldwide - nope, I don't think so. From Rihanna's Loud, Only Girl (In the World) was the only single to enter the all-time chart (well, according to Mediatraffic). While Katy's Teenage Dream has sent two entries, California Gurls and Firework.
Albums (Right now)
US - nope, definitely not her. It's Lady Gaga. Despite the .99 Amazon deal, she still sells consistently and is about (or maybe has surpassed) to surpass Loud's sale.
Worldwide - I don't think so either. Lady Gaga, in 2011 alone, has managed to reach the 4 million mark and Loud's 5 million + sales are not that far away.
Radio hits (right now)
US - nope, Katy Perry has it. 5 consecutive #1s. Whether there's payola or none at all, she still has 5 #1 singles after all. I wouldn't discredit What's My Name's AI, but it's only one song.
Worldwide - I have no idea who's got a bigger advantage in this field.
Magazine covers (right now)
Almost every major pop star has already graced the cover of Vogue of US and UK. Like Lady Gaga, on US Vogues' March issue.
Collaborations (right now)
Rihanna can exclusively claim this feat. She's just so good in collaborating with MALE artists. But it can take a toll on her solo career.
Most beautiful figure (right now)
I'd say she's got one of the most beautiful figures, but not the most beautiful one. Beyonce and even Katy can boast their curves.
WW Domination (right now)
She dominates Europe, but only Europe. Lady Gaga still has a great relevance in there, though.
US is competed by Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Beyonce
Canada is Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Rihanna
South America is clearly for Beyonce
Africa, I have no idea.
Oceania it's Rihanna and Katy Perry, their singles and albums almost sold equally.
Asia is Lady Gaga.
So clearly, it's not Rihanna. She does dominate only one area of the entire Earth and that's Europe.
Sell outs (Right now)
Only in O2. But not everywhere. It doesn't mean that her sell out shows in Europe are equated to sell out shows in the rest of the world. It's only in the UK, or Europe. But she can't sell shows as much as her peers in US, Asia, etc.
Perfume (Right now)
Beyonce is the Queen of Perfumes.
Biggest endorsements (right now)
Lady Gaga has secured big endorsements recently, even bigger than Rihanna's Armani.
Based on what I have observed,
1. Lady Gaga
2. Rihanna
3. Katy Perry
4. Beyonce

Interesting thread I must say Lady Gaga's popularity is decreasing while Rihanna's is rapidly rising

First: It's The fame and the fame monster, two seperate albums/EPs/whatever!
In which country? I need receipts! If you have ones

See you at the end of BTW era (including Gaga's next tour). Rihanna will have bigger singles, but we'll see where the chips fall for album sales/tour receipts.

Adele is not a POPSTAR! I guess you always find ways to lower yourself.
For me both (rihanna and gaga) have been very successful. Rihanna has done great in her own territories, and so has Gaga. And WW they are already at the same level of success.

The biggest pop star in the world right now is Lady GaGa, no question about it.
And yall keep bring up the 99 cent deal, but the b!tch did 1 million outside of the US, 1st week. Don't forget that.
If not Lady GaGa, then it's Adele, if yall consider her a "pop" star.
And Rihanna's "fan base" is still fickle, from the minute she stops churning out those hits, they won't be found.
I mean Beyonce did 1.6 million in 10 weeks without a hit. Rated R had hits and barely passed the 3 mil mark.

The biggest? Meh, probably not. She's definitely up there with Adele & Gaga, though.

Let's not lie to ourselves, ADELE is a popstar. Rolling in the Deep is a POP song. She can be soul or blues or whatever else you want, but 21 has pop songs on it.

everyones fav done that by now .

Actually only my two faves, your fave and Gaga have done that. Actually I think ONLY Rihanna will have done UK Vogue.
She is still selling more than your fave, having huge WW smashes, a HUGE tour, topping magazine lists, she has Armani, Vita Coco, Perfume, Doritos, Kodak, Nivea...etc.

LOL at you putting Katy Perry before Beyonce. No matter how many hits Perry has, she'll never be bigger than Beyonce

But she isn't really in the traditional sense of what a "pop star" is. Her media presece is pretty minimal, all things considered, and she may not ever get around to making a video for her latest #1 single.

In what way is Katy bigger than Beyonce? Is it because of her Proactiv deal? Or her 400k grossing tours?
Bey after 10 weeks without a hit: 1.6, (740k US)
Perry: 1.1 with hits. (536k US)

Oh please! Many artists have songs that are minimaly influenced by pop, but does this mean they are Popstars? NO!
BTW I am still waiting for your receipts about that The Fame has sold more than Rihannas 4 first albums combined but I guess you have undestood that lying won't change things
