My iPod is full with Top 40 songs!
I like Beyoncé (not at an extreme level) Katy Perry, and Nicki Minaj. I also like some RnB, Rock, a small number of rap.... Just because I like Bey/Katy doesn't make me gay! Let's just take it in this way, when I listen to Beyonce I don't imagine a dick

Some straight guys can like some "girl songs" but they would never stan for a girl pop star, spend their time fighting for her on forums etc etc

In a year or so when he comes out I'll let you ask this question again. You can never make this statement with 100% certainty, but generally, usually, normally stans of any female artists are gay...

It is the stigma in society but in my opinion I don't think that ONLY music preferences reflect a person's sexual orientation.

I'm totally straight and i'm Shakira's #1 fan, i dont think its that gay to be Shakira's fan (as it would be to be a Gaga, Katy or Brit fan)
I hate pop music though, Shakira is the only pop artist i listen to, the rest is mostly Alternative rock and electronic music.

Rihanna's not really...girl music. If you say Madonna, Celine or Whitney, then yeah.

Most straight guys love the catchy, Top 40, "feminine" music.
They just won't admit it because they're douche bag straight guys...

I readily admit, as a straight man, that I'm a fan of top 40 music. That includes the so-called "feminine" music you are referring to.
Then again, I also listen to just about everything, so maybe I don't count.

If one or two songs then it's Ok but listening to artists like Rihanna everytime every single song. That says gay. How can a guy love songs like What's My Name or Only Girl. No. Just No.

Absolutely not. I am so tired of this double standard in our world between males and females. If a girl plays sports, only watches "male" TV, and listens to rock music, she's fine. But if a guy doesn't play sports, watches chick flicks and channels like E!, likes fashion, and listens to the mainstream pop music that we all listen to here on ATRL, he's gay. It's unbelievable.

Gosh, not everyone is gay because of this.
Double Standards
Girls stan for Bieber because he's cute/hot and they want to **** him. Why can't a straight guy stan for a female for the same reason? Or even admit that they enjoy some of their music because its catchy or enjoy their voice?

According to that theory, every guy who listens to metal, rap, or rock -- songs about drugs and having hardcore perverted sex -- must be straight.
It’s believed that girls are somewhat more open-minded to music, so they're unfairly never criticized for what they listen to unlike guys. Gay guys are usually obsessed with pop culture (which is dominated by female artists and females in general.) On the other hand, one of the reasons straight male fans like female artists is because of their looks, not because of what they wear.
One of the most famous stereotypes is that Britney doesn’t have a single straight male fan. She hasn’t sold almost 100 million albums based on females and gay males. Straight male fans have contributed to those sales as well. It’s plain dumb to think that listening to Britney makes you want dick.
It’s possible to be a straight fan of an artist known for having a large homosexual fan-base. If you ask a "straight" guy if he listens to a certain female artist and he says that her music is for gays, there’s a bigger chance that he’s gay.
Nowadays, I prefer female artists to male artists, mostly because males don’t make good music anymore (even though there are a very few exceptions.) However, I just like music. I listen to a song when I like it, regardless of who the singer is. Music doesn’t make you gay, it doesn’t make you want to kill yourself, or kill others either. Everyone should feel free to listen to whatever music they like without worrying about being labeled as gay. Sadly, we live in a world full of people quick to judge.
