Is there anyway you can deactivate old accounts that are no longer being used? Also, it would be smart not to accept anymore new accounts until things slow down after GaGa's album is released.
Also, is there anyway to put the forum on private? So it can block outside observers (guests) from lurking the site. Not to do it out of spite, but as an example the Ciara VS. Rihanna thread had over 130 guests lurking, which also increases the chances of the server to crash.
Also, closing big threads that have over 500K replies and re-open them by creating new threads every time it fills up again.
Uhmm i think big ass threads like the Born This Way, Femme Fatale and 4 threads are a big part of the problem. Maybe you can close them and create new ones every 100 pages or something.

This is getting ridiculous now, and I think it has something to do with the big threads like those.
Ace shut down the Gaga thread and made a new one. Things have been running smoothly since then.
Oh wow, that completely astonishes me. Right now I feel like the first day I joined here, no problems with loading the posts, the threads, everything. Yesterday it was stressful to post here, now it feels great!

It just wasnt closing the thread ive been doing things in the background that also have made a different. Right now closing that thread did help out, but our software is easily able to handle threads with hundreds of thousands of replies. So something just isnt working right because we should be able to do this.
It usually takes me 3-4 minutes a post.
whatever you've been doing has already helped a lot.
