If you're talking purely about commercial success, I'm sure she's financially stable. This is of no concern to anyone but her.

The post I most agree with. Gaga does need to prove longevity, but not necessarily commercial success (since she already had it but it helps though), but more so on critical acclaim.

It's tough because what made her a sensation ultimately became part of her demise and she hasn't navigated things properly for people to know for sure that she will have what it takes to reach that.

The Monsters need to stop downplaying her. She had every chance to be a legend and makes better music and is much more talented than the Katys, Rihannas and Taylors of her generation.

She needs to prove that she's more than just a peak (her peak makes up like 70% of her album sales, 60% of her single sales, etc.) and can make more than one great era. She can be so much more.

There are lot of things that are wrong here.

Kesha has been doing electropop/dance songs BEFORE Gaga appeared (2006 with Paris Hilton, 2007 with The Veronicas and 2009 with Britney Spears). She just got exposure because of Tik Tok when dance-pop songs started to being trend. Also Kesha wasn't never inspired by Gaga during the "Animal" era. It was media's fault that wanted to put them against each other when they were doing electropop/dance music which was the musical trend during 2008-2010

Teenage Dream is TOTALLY inspired by 1980's music, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, ABBA and Ace of Base.

Bionic's music wasn't inpsired by Lady Gaga at all when Christina herself was working with the album's concept since 2007/2008. Again, it was media's fault (aka Perez Hilton) that dragged Xtina to the pits, saying she was copying Gaga.

I agree with Can't be Tamed (Miley herself said she was inspired by Gaga) and Nicki Minaj's most looks though.

Well, if you think she has totally reached her peak both commercially and creatively then yep, nothing to prove, nothing to see here. I believe she can do way better music and be more consistent, also a lot of people seems to think she will always be linked to her TF days, so the transition between the wild image to something else is yet to be done effectively. Some of her idols are known for being chameleonic and having great success at it, she must follow their steps.

I don't think it's fair to hold that against her though, because her peak was right before record sales started a much more steep decline.

I admire the fact that she isn't focused on doing whatever she can to maintain chart success and she's more focused on stepping outside her comfort zone, trying new things, and trying to establish herself as a one of a kind artist. She's done a fantastic job and is headed in the right direction tbh.
