I hope so, I think she'll get to #1 on both eventually. I think she'll beat Britney for at least a week, and if her album doesnt debut at #1 I'm sure it will get there eventually

If she doesn't go to #1 this week with RITD then she won't top the chart at all. They've delayed this release for weeks. I think they delayed it for too long to be honest, so sales are going to be very front-loaded. They could drop off quickly. There's also the possibility that numerous people have already downloaded the song illegally and won't bother downloading it on iTunes, it premièred almost two months ago. For some people, it doesn't feel like a new song anymore.

In the U.S. we have to wait all the way until late February.

But, I haven't seen much promo out and about. To be honest I've been seeing a lot of Jessie J (on YouTube).

Either way I am fairly certain Adele will do well in America, but there is a possibility that she could pull a Duffy. But record stores know she makes good music, so I think she will be fine.
