Aaliyah made a comeback this year with the aid of Canadian rapper Drake, but the solo alternate of the song defeats the original. "Enough Said" is undeniably one of the better tracks of 2012. Aaliyah's flawless vocals prove why she is a remembered icon. Even with using the features of an unreleased song from a decade ago, "Enough Said" still conquers most of the songs of 2012. If you haven't heard this song yet, I highly suggest you do.
Nicki Minaj - I Am Your Leader (feat. Rick Ross and Cam'Ron)
Flawless. Flawless. Flawless. Nicki proves yet again that she can make flawless hip-hop records with this smash to my ears. Ross and Cam'Ron's verses aid this song to become one of the best of the year. Nicki slick flow and quick punchlines make this easily one of her personal best as well.
Although the beginning always confuses me with "Good Feeling", "Die Young" is such a fun song! Ke$ha returned this year with another dance-friendly song that everyone can jam out to. Love it.
Did everyone forget about this flawless gem or what? I see no one talking about it hardly! Kylie comes back from her 2010 LP with Timebomb to celebrate her 25th anniversary in the music business. "Timebomb" is a solid jam and a song that only Kylie could possibly pull off. It's so addicting, fresh, and groovy!
Finally. Rihanna stepped out of the box with her seventh lead single and it is pure epicness. Rihanna shows her vocal abilities are strong on this song. "Shine bright like a diamond" is one catchy phrase that I just can't seem to get out of my head. Flawless, RiRi. Flawless.
Justin Bieber - Beauty and a Beat (feat. Nicki Minaj)
Could it be? Two of my faves finally collaborating together? And on a FLAWLESS song? I couldn't ask for any better. The Zedd-produced song instantly became one of my favorite songs of 2012 from the Biebs and Miss Minaj. The sassy beatdrop makes this song even better, along with Nicki's rap (BUTIGOTTAKEEPAEYEOUTFORSELENURRRR). I hope this song shoots to the #1 spot on the Hot 100 soon because it entirely deserves it.
