Hayes is the fifth male solo country artist to achieve this milestone. He follows Jason Aldean (who has hit 2 million with four songs), Luke Bryan (three songs) and Toby Keith and Blake Shelton (one each). Hayes was voted New Artist of the Year at the Country Music Assn. Awards. He’s nominated for a Grammy as Best New Artist.
