16. Boys Like Girls - Love Drunk
It's been two years since Boys Like Girls released their self-titled album. Now they are back with their latest record, Love Drunk. The album starts with the roaring electro inspired vocal effects in
Heart Heart Heartbreak. The first single,
Love Drunk proved that their former hits were just a taste of the musical direction that these rockers were headed. This song kinda reminds you of a rip-off of The Killers' Somebody Told Me. My personal favorite from this record would have to be
Two Is Better Than One, where they collaborated with country pop sensation Taylor Swift. The record ends with a beautiful inspirational mellow tune,
Go. Listening to this album in whole made me realize that Boys Like Girls definitely progressed from their prior efforts. Who knows, by next year they might come up with another stuck on your head anthem which everyone might love it.

16. Leona Lewis - Echo
Next on my list is the sophomore album from Leona Lewis. The magnificent LP opened with the single,
Happy. Leona’s capability of making a song as big as possible is unquestionable. I guess the song didn’t tell much of what Echo will sound. She ventures onto giving us some indulgent R&B tracks such as
Can’t Breathe and
I Got You and the sparkly
Love Letter in which she announces she’s happy as long as they’re together with her loved one. Lewis clearly got some inspiration from Coldplay with the rock-inspired anthem
Naked with its heavy electronic guitar undercurrents and inevitable synthesisers. Also having inspired with the alternative music scene is the collaboration with OneRepublic, co-penned by Tedder,
Lost Then Found. Some songs I like from this album are
Outta My Head and the beautiful ballad,
My Hands. The best song would probably be
Broken as Leona shows how powerful her voice. As a whole, this album needs a couple of spins for you to love it just like the songs from Spirit, and definitely I will love this album more as time goes by accompanied by right choice of singles.
