I agree, I need some more KC-penned songs. I scoff at anyone who says she isn't a good songwriter, as Hazel Eyes/Because of You/Walk Away were all huge.

I read on a KC board that the Daughtry duet didn't make the cut, which is fine by me. I'm selfish, I kind of like that Kelly's albums are always all Kelly and not a whole bunch of 'featuring's.

You know, it just occurred to me that Kelly's song is coming out just in time to be this year's Valentine's anthem (or anti-Valentine anthem, if the song/title is in fact sarcasm). What made me think of it was the promo cover, which just looks like candy anyway and then she has the big red heart sucker.

Am I the only person that didn't think My December was that dark of an album? Especially in comparison to "Breakaway", of which the majority of songs were rather dark and depressing as well.

I mean there were....

I Hate Myself For Losing You
Hear Me
Sure they were crafted in a more commercial, catchy way... However, lyrically they're just as depressing as anything on "My December".

What were the depressing songs on "My December" anyways?
Hole
Don't Waste Your Time
Haunted
Irvine
and maybe Judas?
I mean, Never Again and One Minute weren't sad, just angry.

I just don't think "My December" is worthy of the "goth" label it's been given. The only real difference is the indie-rock approach to the sound. It wasn't much of a departure. So what I'd really like from this album is actually just more uplifting lyrics than usual. Not the same old humdrum sad songs.

Well she has recorded the Katy Perry tracks, and those 8 songs aren't the only ones on the album. She could easily have written on the rest of the album. We won't know until we get a tracklisting I guess
